Judge's Critiques

VD/B (4, 1)
1 Loades’ Snowolf Canuck Bullit ShCM. A veteran of great quality. His excellent angulation affords superb movement with tremendous reach and drive. For me he has taken time to come into his own but was at his best on the day. Shown in excellent coat and condition.
2 Towers &Rivers’ Polarpaws Naknek Dreamer ShCM. A quality bitch who is well balanced throughout, not quite the leg length and hence the height to length ratio I would prefer, but lovely head and expression and a good ground covering gait.

MPD (4)
1 Ellis’ Chayo Bit Special. For a breed which should be slow to mature, just 6 mths old youngsters are very hard to assess. Very nice in ‘type’, keen, alert expression, balanced throughout with at this stage correct overall proportions, well handled and presented.
2 Smith’s Snowshoes Masked Desperado. Lovely head and expression, but very ‘up behind’ at this stage, nice drive from the rear, unsurprisingly! Good tailset and carriage.

PD (5, 2)
1 John’s Cristakell Fidelius. Nice medium sized male, with good angulations front and rear, but lacking some coat and overall condition, a challenge I know in mid summer, good bone, good feet and pasterns, held his topline well and sound on the move.
2 Aitchison &Hurst’s Kaskae Hooked On A Feeling. Good bone but with some growing still to do, appears a little long in the mid back right now, he should balance with maturity and increased condition will allow him to hold any ranginess, good angulation and a nice turn of stifle giving an easy gait.

JD (7, 2)
1 Syson’s Icewolf Eyes On The Prize JW. Compact in type but very well proportioned, strong topline with a correct tail set and carriage, good feet and pasterns, covered plenty of ground with his quick lightfooted gait.
2 Maguire’s Dreamwolves Look At Me Now. I felt he had medium minus bone for the breed, nice head and expression, well held topline and well angulated front and rear, good feet and pasterns but would benefit from additional conditioning.

YD (5, 1)
1 Blackburn’s Chayo Icecold Apparition. Medium in size without any exaggeration, good balance, an easy ground covering gait, correct feet with a good slope of pastern, nice coat and condition.
2 Forsey &Louch’s Libertia Son Of Anarchy. Correct standard fitting head, but without the front angulation of first, correct bone, easy gait, good feet and shown in a good plush coat.

PGD (7)
1 Dolan & Dolan’s Ishjamani Hey Joe. Promising youngster, powerful throughout, strong topline, good tailset and carriage, good reach of neck, excellent shoulder and plenty of drive on the move, shown in good coat and condition, could move all day.
2 Robb’s Icewolf Max A Million JW. Another excellent example of the breed with good angulation, as much back length as you would ever want, but well held, good bone, correct feet and pasterns, sound on the move.

LD (6, 2)
1 John’s Shomont Rasin Suspicions Amog Cristakell JW ShCM. Another exhibit somewhat compact in type but perfectly balanced and with a strong topline, sufficient leg length and correct length to height ratio, heavily coated, he possesses an easy ground covering gait.
2 Wilkinson &Jelfs’ Lapema Angel De Cambios JW. Still very much a youngster, he has a good head, correct eye and well set ears, all the makings of a good prospect, he has an easy ground covering gait, he will always need good conditioning to appear his best.

OD (8, 1)
1 Robertson’s Ch Winterchill’s Task Force. A very good example of the breed, but as yet still a youngster needing more time to reach his maturity, clearly an excellent athlete with excellent angulation and a tremendous gait, good head with a nice reach of neck and a strong topline, good feet and well angled pasterns, good prospect.
2 Whittaker’s Ch Chayo Vanquish. Nice masculine head, powerful and balanced, good bone and shown in excellent coat and condition, good ground covering gait.

GCD/B (3, 1)
1 Anderson’s Cherubini Midnight Wolf. A very appealing bitch with good angulation and correct bone, very effective ground covering gait, nice feet and well angled pasterns, left her coat at home.
2 Burgess’ Cedarcreek Endurance At Mountainglen. A good head and expression, good length of leg, but for me a little short in the croup and I would prefer a little more turn of stifle.

MPB (2, 1)
1 Pennings, Cameron &McRae’s Chayo Taylor Made. Youngster with good overall proportions, well angulated, feminine head, good reach of neck and an easy gait, good prospect.

PB (5)
1 Gell’s Marahootay Dancing Queen. I very much liked the overall proportions of this bitch, who needs a lot of practice and patience in the ring, attractive standard fitting head and expression, well set ears, correct muzzle with tight fitting lips, easy and efficient gait, nice prospect.
2 Moran’s Chayo All That Dazzles For Totalaskan. Well handled and presented, this is another nice example of the breed who was excellent on the move but will need plenty of conditioning to hold her topline, correct feet and pasterns.

JB (5, 1)
1 Butler’s Kaytoo Antarctic Anko. Plenty of leg length and sufficient in the mid back to give an athletic profile, completely out of coat but shown in very good hard condition, strong topline, balanced angulation, easy and measured on the move, a slow maturer.
2 Aiston’s Kalamals Moonfrost Serenade (Imp). A nice bitch, moderate throughout with an easy gait, lacked the condition to hold her topline, but shown in good coat and was well handled and presented.

YB (7, 3)
1 Anderson’s Cinneli Fast N Furious Phinx To Cherubini. Attractive feminine head, good angulation, correct bone and well angled pasterns, as much back length as you need, so again, requires the condition to keep it level. nice ground covering gait, absolutely sound.
2 Clarke’s Indian Dreamcatcher Illa Kuvianartok At Whiteout. Powerful throughout with good overall proportions, balanced angulation but did not cover the ground of first, coat ‘at odds’ with itself, but well handled and presented.

PGB (2, 1)
1 Roach &Pyper’s Celticice Quinarius Nessie. A bitch which pushed the ‘green card’ winners close. An excellent example of the breed which I have admired before. On this occasion, well handled and presented, lovely head and expression, good reach of neck and a strong topline, well angulated with a good ground covering gait.

LB (11, 4)
1 Dunk’s Lapema Angelo Di Armonia For Everheart. Lovely bitch, classic feminine head, nice reach of neck, good topline with good leg length and a full back, correct bone, good feet and well angled pasterns, much to admire and easy on the move, well handled and presented.
2 Blaney’s Windberg Paparazzi To Fenrirkin. Another nice example of the breed, positive on the move and possessing good proportions and balanced angulation, however, I feel she would benefit by some harder conditioning.

OB (14, 5)
1 Ellis’ Chayo Blue Velvet. A lovely bitch, excellent head, nice reach of neck and excellent length to height ratio, very good angulation provides excellent movement and she was shown in good hard condition, an excellent example of the breed who ‘free stands’ herself to advantage!
2 Loades’ Snowolf Manhatten Marvel. A bitch who I much admire, clearly an athlete, excellent overall proportions with a full length of back, good reach of neck, a nice tailset and carriage, excellent on the move, coat absent on the day.
