Overall I think the quality and presentation of this majestic breed has improved quite a bit since I last judged them 4 years ago and full credit to the breeders/owners on that score. For the most the movement was sound and free with only a few that were somewhat unsettled but once they got into their stride, they were completely sound. Coating was evident in quite a few but this did not distract from the framework under the jacket and this will remain constant and coats will grow back so no one was penalised for that side of things on the day.

1 Copley – Holland’s Kabatics This Is The Way 11 month old well constructed youngster with a promising future ahead. Good head piece with correct strong teeth and jaws. Ears set wide apart and used well when alerted. Good length of neck into moderate shoulders and straight front. Enough in ribbing for age and size. Steady and true on the move in any direction. Presented in dense jacket of good texture. BPIB
2 Druce & Druce’s Kaskae Hell Of A View 10 month old and similar in build qualities to winner but not so well developed in head on the day. Strong forehand with good bone and feet. Deep chest well ribbed up. Steady and precise on the move once settled into his stride.

1 Innes & Innes Icycool Hudson Bay 15 month old and headed a class of promising youngsters today. Scores well in head moderately angled fore and aft giving him a balanced shape and the ability to cover the ground soundly and with ease. Well let down in chest and sprung in ribbing, holds his topline firm at all times. Maybe left his best jacket at home today but that will come back for sure.
2 Horsman – Phoenix & Horsman Snow Legend Zenith Of Fame Nordicwinds (Imp Rus) Just a year old this sable boy has the makings of a real workhorse if he continues to develop as he is today. Good head to handle being strong and proportionate. Moderate angulation front and back Well filled deep chest. Easy and clean on the move at all times. Another that wasn’t in full bloom.

1 Lunn’s Nordicwinds Jazz Singer 18 month old grey. Strong well proportioned head with correct ear set and dark almond eyes. Good length of neck easing into well angulated front with good bone and compact feet. Stands at a good height with correct sloping topline. Well muscled in quarters allowing a hard driving action to compliment his reach. Shown in full dense jacket.
2 Martin’s Wen Magick Happenz At Dreamwolves Just a year old on the day this black may not be the biggest but he is well proportioned throughout. Scores well in head with dark almond eyes set well. Strong jaws and teeth. Good length of neck into moderate front assembly supported by well boned limbs and compact feet. Steady and clean on the move.

1 Vasarhelyi’s Okinastar I’m the Man Just over 2 years old and so promising for the future he just needs to develop a tad more all over to be at his best then he should be a force to trouble the best. Good head piece with dark eyes, strong teeth and jaws. Powerful neck of good length into well made forehand. Ample spring and depth to ribbing. Holds a firm topline at all times static or in motion. Shown in full clean jacket.
2 Smith & Smith’s Snowshoes Who Dares Wins 2 ½ year old grey of good solid breed type. Well developed in head, strong teeth and jaws, ears set on and used to his advantage. Muscular front assembly with moderate angulation and straight front. Deep chest ample ribbing and firm back. Easy stride pattern with good driving action from his developed quarters.

1 Page’s Ch Snow Legend Believe In You Cedarcreek (Imp Rus) Rising 4 years old and maybe in his prime which would be about right for a working dog. Scores well in head with dark well set eyes, correct ears and strong white teeth. Well angulated and muscled in forehand which in turn is mirrored in his quarters giving him an ideal balanced silhouette whether standing or on the move where he comes into his own with a perfect foot fall and stride pattern that given his framework he would be happy doing all day with some in reserve. Tail set on and carried correctly. Put down to the minute all over from jacket to toning. DCC & BOB
2 Ellis’ Ch Chayo Cause Celebre Well made grey at 4 ¾ years old and like winner in his prime. Good head to handle with strong punishing jaws and correct dentition. Top class front assembly for bone, angulation and muscle toning which are all essential for a freighting dog. Well let down in chest and sprung in ribbing although today he did look a tad heavy to be picky. Holds his topline firm at all times thanks to his muscular quarters and overall toning. Good tail set and carriage. Easy and precise on the move in any direction. RDCC

1 Lovegrove’s Weyekin’s Light My Fire Within Arctictribe At 10 years young this well made solid boy belies his age and has one of the best toned bodies here today. powerful head piece with correct almond eyes and strength in jaw. Good length of neck into moderate forehand with ample bone and compact feet. Well developed in chest and sprung in ribbing. Strong well angulated quarters allowed the direct driving action displayed here today. presented in very good jacket and overall condition A real credit to his owner and the breed.

1 Smith & Smith’s Snowshoes Torvi Just 9 months old and quite well made in framework but she does need to body up with maturity. Balanced in head with good proportions and well set ears and eyes. Good length of neck to moderate forehand in terms of angles and toning. Well ribbed up for her age and size, holds her topline on the move. Steady and controlled in motion. Correct coat texture.

1 Perfitt & Perfitt’s Samjoe From Russia With Love 13 month old grey that is well made all through from her strong forehand to her developed quarters. Scores well in head being strong yet not overdone in any way, made full use of her well set ears when alerted. Ample spring of rib and depth of chest. Covers the ground in unison with her handler at all times. Put down to the minute in body toning but another that was coating on the day.
2 Horsman–Phoenix & Horsman’s Nordicwinds Miss Marvel 17 month old grey of good breed type. Well balanced all through with good development in muscle toning fore and aft. Good head shape with dark oblique eyes and well set ears. Strong neck of good length into moderate forehand and matching quarters. Plenty of bone and substance without being heavy or overdone in any way. Not quite as precise in profile foot fall as winner on the day.

1 Perfitt & Perfitt’s Samjoe The Good Witch 2 ½ year old grey that took this class being the most fluent and composed one on the move. Good head to handle, proportionate with dark well set eyes and correct dentition. Powerfully built in forehand with ample bone and very good feet. Deep well filled chest good ribbing and firm topline gently sloping into muscular quarters where she gets her propulsion from. Shown in dense jacket of good texture.
2 Murray & Murray’s Snowmischief If I Can Dream, 3 ¼ year old moderately built female with nothing out of place just a good honest workmanlike example of the breed. Front and rear assemblies match for angulation and toning giving her balance and a steady controlled gait from any angle. Handler got the best from her allowing her the freedom of lead to stride out in unison.

1 Vasarhelyi Okinastar All Of The Lights 2 year old grey of good solid breed type. Scores well in head, dark almond eyes set well, correct dentition and strength in jaw. Good length of neck into well made forehand both in muscle toning and angulation. Well let down in chest and sprung in ribbing, topline remains firm at all times Powerfully built in hindquarters allowing positive drive to compliment her reach.
2 Whyman & Murray’s Tailfly Flamenco Another typey female this time 5 years old and like winner of good type but she’s not so fluent or controlled in her gait. Moderate front and rear angulation giving her a balanced outline. Shown in full bloom of good texture.

1 Ellis’ Chayo Causin Chaos 3 year old well made grey. Super head shape and size in proportion to her body. Ears and eyes set well and used when alerted. Powerfully toned in forehand, clean well angulated shoulders and strongly boned limbs necessary for any freighting dog. Deep well filled chest ample spring of ribbing, topline sloping gently and remaining firm at all times. The development in her quarters matches her forehand to a “T” which is why she covers the ground so fluently in tune with her handler. as ever from this kennel presented to the nth degree in jacket and toning. 2 Copley – Holland’s Am Ch Katabatics Hollaback Girl Another worthy CH rising 6 years old and pushed winner all the way which is a testament to the longevity of the breed if they are kept fit and active as this lady proves. Scores in head, ears set on and used well when called for, dark almond eyes set obliquely and correct strong dentition. Muscular neck flowing into well placed shoulders and straight front supported by compact feet. Again her strong quarters allowed her the drive to cover the ground with such ease and accuracy but not quite so clean in side gait as winner but it was a hot day and this could account for it as her construction is spot on. 

VB All 3 of these are a credit to their owners for keeping them trim and sound .
1 Druce & Druce’s Ch Koromandel On Strange Tides Rising 11 years young this proves to me that the breed is in good hands as she is so sound and fluent on the move and she has probably some of the best musculature present today so full credit to her owners. Good head shape and size, balanced and clean lines with dark almond eyes. Good length of neck into clean forehand and straight well boned front. Deep chest, correct topline and defined quarters. Presented in first class conditioning all through.
2 Jarvis & Troisi’s Nordicwinds All Attitude A mere slip of a girl at just 8 years old and like today’s winner she is solid all through from head to tail. Well proportioned in head powerfully built and angulated in forehand with matching hindquarters giving her the framework under her dense jacket to be more than capable of a good day’s work. She may have been affected by the heat today slightly more so than winner nothing more.
