Critiques

I always enjoy judging this breed, not a big entry but the quality was certainly present. This being the 3rd time I have given CCs to this breed in the UK, always keeping in my mind what it was bred to do! Soundness of body and temperament of great importance, I had two wonderful Stewards that get my thanks.

PD (1)
1 BP, Ellis-Payne, Chayo Spellbinder, 11 month old, fabulous baby typical of the breed type and quality put in the ring by this clever breeder, masculine loved that head ex eye ex bite, lovely reach of neck, straight front ex bone deep chest tight elbows, flows lovely over the withers no lumps or bumps, correct backline, big powerful quarters with excellent strength on the hock joints, his profile stood is so typical. In ex form both in coat and muscle tone, free easy action showing reach and driv, handled to perfection I see an exciting future ahead for this boy.

JD ( 2)
1 Holt, Freezefactor Savvy Affair at Breconfrost, masculine head, good eye colour, level bite, deep chest just enough bone for his sex, deep chest, action could be better particularly going away.

PGD (2)
1 Res CC Brandenberg-Smith, Chayo its Kurt for Taronakits, 18 month old winning his 2nd Res CC today so I am told, by the days BOB and he does have many of his sire’s qualities, loved the breed type his look of quality and balance, head details correct, good neck, straight front super bone and good feet, correct backline and well developed body, strong quarters with real strength on the move, covers the ground with little effort shown in sparkling form, handled to perfection I would think quite capable of taking his title, certainly impressed me
2 Holt. Freezefactor Savvy Affair at Breconfrost.

LD (1)
1 Brouard, Orsamais Pepe Le Peew (GKC), smaller, all-round quality but lighter built just enough bone for his sex , liked the head details, typical profile when stood, but his hind action could be better,

OD (2)
1 CC & BOB his 35th, Ellis-Payne, Ch Chayo Cause Celebre, stood away! I judged him at his 1st show at 6 months old thought him special then but now at 4 years old and fully mature he totally fills the eye both stood and on the move. Stunning masculine head, super neck the correct angulation both back and front, ex bone, could find nothing to dislike in my opinion fits the breed standard to a tee. And of course that movement would tick my box, on top form no surprise to see him go Group 4, every so often when judging dogs you judge something more than special this dog is one of them, a dog I will remember and for me the best Malamute I have seen, loved him.
2 Jelfs, Ch Lapema Malizioso, no surprise to find him titled just looked and moved like the Champion he his, all the breed points you look for in a CC winner. Again, on top form but please no more weight, .would have no problem signing a CC card for him.

GCD (1)
1 Drummond, Chayo Encore, it would be wrong of me to critique this male he came to enjoy himself, never really kept four feet on the ground he just wanted to be hugged, super temperament.

JB (1)
1. Brouard, Orsamals Cest Moi Fifi ( imp Gkc). Res CC a daughter of my CC bitch winner, top class really impressed me both on the stack and on the move, loved the breed type her profile that lovely feminine head ex bite. Real powerhouse on the move the more I looked the more she impressed, on top form she had come to win and I could not overlook her in the challenge her stand in handler did a great job. A great future in front of this girl.

PGB ( 2)
1 Jelfs, Lapema Bella Dannata.Top class shouts quality and breed type at you. Loved the head details, ex bite strong neck, ex shoulders, straight front good bone and feet. Deep brisket and a lovely forechest so important for any working breed heart room, the correct backline and big powerful quarters, easy free action, this girl I really liked should do very well in the breed

LB ( 2)
1 Ellis-Payne, Chayo Distinctive, another by the days BOB, and again the high quality and breed type I have come to expect from this breeder. Classy feminine girl, super head details ex bit, lovely pigmentation just gives real class to that head, the best of necks straight front super bone the best of bodies and a powerful mover both back and front, in my opinion CC quality

OB (4) All present all different.
1 CC Brouard, Jay Ch Sutarka Coco Chanel at Orsamals, new to me instantly caught my eye on the first look around. Just loved the breed type her look of quality and balance, her head is so correct, everything just fitted and flowed. And that movement so appealed to my eye, in winning form I was told her 2nd CC today the first won at Crufts. But I was told this lady travelled 17 hours to this show from Guernsey it certainly paid off the ticket and Res Ticket.
2 Ellis-Payne, Ch Chayo Vasilisa. Top class I recently short-listed this fabulous Champion in the Working Group at the WKC, looks and moves like a Champion would have no problem sighing a CC for her.
3 Jelfs, Lapema Gia Visto (JW) also a top class bitch that could move
