Judge's Critiques

I would like to thank all for the kind way my results were taken and I was very pleased with my winners. My favourite class is the puppies love all the kisses, they were happy babies a credit to owners and breeders. An improvement since I last judged the breed as only one level bite and only three overweight. The downside is again any variety and being too over done or not enough. Most well muscled only the odd one a tad soft. Angulations on fronts especially and back need to be carefully looked at by breeders and improved. It was a shame for some bitches, if not already out of coat they were in the process of losing which spoiled the overall picture. My surprise of the day was the eventual BOB a young male achieving his first ticket and I am very sure this is start of many he was also shortlisted in a very strong group. The bitch ticket was given to a beautiful young lady from Ireland taking her second ticket that all important third is not far off.

1 Cawthera’s Chayo Pulling Power At Lireva. 11 months typical playful puppy just changing into the teenager in brain and body. Not in full coat which lost him BP, but displayed all the promise of overall shape, conformation and power that he will become on maturity. Lovely length of neck and on top of that a strong head with correct eyes and well placed ears. Once settled on the move he went well with purpose.
2 Kelsey’s Jaydonsire’s True Grit. Lovely soft expression complimented with nice small ears set well and correct eye shape. Good straight front, nice depth of chest, good top line correct tail set and well angulated hindquarters, moved nicely.

JD (5, 1)
1 Robb’s Icewolf Max A Million. Handsome chap small ears, good width of muzzle, nice dark eyes. Good overall shape with good angulations, nice topline which was held on the move, though could do with being slowed down a tad as makes the strength of drive a little erratic.
2 Davey & Greenaway’s Snobruk Spirit Of Fire. Excellent type, strong head, used ears well, moderate bone, straight back with a gentle slope of topline on move. Not quite as strong in hind movement as first, but did move well.

YD (7, 2)
1 Robb’s Icewolf Max A Million.
2 Aitchison & Hurst’s Okinastar Quileute Legend. Nice head shape, good width between ears, nicely constructed and moved well.

PGD (4, 2)
1 John’s Cristakell Aeolian Nite. Good type, nice shape to head, good width of muzzle, small ears. Excellent length of neck, good front, shoulders, good conformation and nice angulations on rear, moved well.
2 Davey & Greenaway’s Snobruk Spirit Of Fire.

LD (14, 2) Lovely class.
1 Ellis’ Chayo My Prerogative. Took my eye straight away out of a very strong class. Only 16mths but was in one with owner. Stunning outlines neither under nor over done, He outshone with excellent moderate bone and good feet. In fact this boy shouted moderate, his proportions in every aspect were typical for the breed and yet more is to come as he matures. Loved his gentle expression, neat ears and correct eye and displayed a correct arch of neck, angulations front quarters and back were correct giving him purposeful movement and his top line from shoulder to croup were held beautifully. Still a baby maturity will see him blossom and tighten even more he should have a spectacular future. CC BOB & shortlisted in the Group.
2 Fotheringham’s Tailfly Suntower Asking. Another stunning man shame he came up against one. Beautiful moderately shaped dog, lovely head proportions and neck. Not quite as strong in bone as one, but good feet, nice tail set, good chest, excellent body shape and moved very well.

OD (4, 1)
1 Bebiano’s Biss Ch/Mlt Lux Ch Equinox Woodvram Polarni Usvit JW ShCh (Imp CZE). Judged him as a junior loved him then and he did not disappoint now. A lovely handsome type excelling in expression and correct proportions, again a moderate dog, good chest plenty heart room, strong back, good length of loin, good hind angulations lost out on ticket as did not move as strongly as I would have liked. RCC.
2 Stewart’s Lueldar Northern Nanuk. Pleasing dog of good proportions, a little heavy on front but this did not show in movement. Nice head, eye and small ears. Good length of back, moved well.

VD (2)
1 Chamber’s Arctictrek Gold Glistens ShCh. 10 year old red boy, I have his auntie at home, who will be 14 in July. Have judged him before still very handsome and in beautiful coat, being a red his pigment and eye colour is typical and he is still pretty strong in pastern and hock. When he moved he held his topline well, deserved his first.
2 Blair & Kerr’s Scotiafirs Leven Lord. 8 year young man, not quite as strong in bone as first, but still a handsome chap and full of fun, well proportioned, strong back, well angulated front and back moved well.

PB (10, 3)
1 Druce & Druce’s Koromandel On Strange Tides (A1). Well handled and well presented. Pretty baby yet strong head, neat ears, good eye shape, correct length of neck good shoulders leading to a nice depth to chest. Correct in proportion body length to height ratio, well angulated hindquarters and good tail set. Moved strongly, should have a good future. BP.
2 Kelsey’s Okinastar Flamin Fantastic TAF. What a sweetie, pretty baby lovely eyes growing nicely in proportion, nice straight front, good chest, well sprung ribcage, good topline and excellent tail set. Moved out nicely.

JB (6, 3) All out of coat so nothing hidden.
1 Page’s Cedarcreek Exquisite. Good type, pretty face, nice length of neck, correct front angulations, good length of back would like a little more chest, good tail set. Moved well.
2 Frater’s Snobruk Dream Seeker. A little unsure of herself careful handling will win her over, a pleasing size, a well proportioned body again that junior stage needs to body out but moved ok.

YB (4, 2)
1 Mort’s Arcticbreeze Midnite Echo. Loved this little lady in good coat of excellent texture. Lovely small ears, pretty but strong head, good length of neck, strong shoulders, moderate bone, and strong back, slightly sloping top line held well on move, well angulated fore and aft and it showed when moving as she covered the ground with purpose. RCC.
2 Horsman-Phoenix’s Cedarcreek Enchantress For Nordicwinds.

PGB (8, 2)
1 McClements’ Casiat Due Tramonti. Nice red lady, pretty face with correct ears and eye shape, good chest and ribcage, good body and excellent topline. Moved well.
2 Wilkinson’s Koldsnap Aprilia Mille. Pretty lady with correct ears, eye, gentle sloping stop, good front and good depth of chest, nice hindquarters, moved well.

LB (9, 1)
1 Roper’s Tokosha Issumatar ShCh. One I have given a RCC to and still like her but was up against some nice ladies in the challenge. Good strong head yet feminine with it, lovely small ears, good front, strong back, good hindquarters, nice feet and moved well.
2 Ellis’ Chayo Ellis. Loved her but handler tended to over-do her which spoiled her as she could have changed places with first. Beautifully presented, lovely head and expression, correct angulations fore and aft, excellent conformation, good tail set she moved well.

OB (7, 1)
1 O’Regan’s Biss/Ir Ch Monikoona Chasing Rainbows. My type of bitch absolutely a picture, beautiful head, correct small ears with correct width between them. Lovely eye shape and strong muzzle. Good front, nice depth of chest strong body, straight back slight slope to croup, correct tail set, good hindquarters, lovely tail set, moved confidently, would have just liked a bit more sparkle and then she may have taken the top spot but could not deny her the ticket. CC.
2 Ellis’ Chayo Fortune Cookie. Not in full coat but did not disappoint. Good body proportions, nice angulations to front and back, nice length of neck, pretty head not quite as strong a topline as first, moved strongly.

VB (2)
1 Roach & Pyper’s Dankatcha’s Shilling At Celticice. 8 year lady acting like a 1 year old, totally enjoying her day and her moment. Still in fine form, well bodied and still strong in pastern and hocks. Very pretty face with correct eye and ear, good conformation. Moved nicely.
2 Butler’s Kaytoo Where Legend’s ‘R’ Born ShCh. 10 years young and still going strong. She did not let her owner down, lovely head properties strong neck, still keeping her topline when moving both ladies a credit to their owners.
