Some lovely dogs today, making for some really hard decisions. I loved all of the puppies – it was great to see some ‘proper’ pups! Thank you to everyone who came. All of the dogs were turned out beautifully and I was extremely pleased to see both my Best of Breed and my Best Puppy getting short-listed in their groups.

Puppy Dog (2 entries, 0 absent)
A lovely class of puppies, both quite different.
1st. Horsman-Pheonix, Mrs. J. & Horsman, Mr. J. Nordicwinds Grtest Showman. Just 7 months old and a proper puppy! He had excellent bone and lovely proportions and was in good coat. Nice angulation on the hindquarters and stood square. Excellent tail. Very ‘babyish’ head but you wouldn’t penalise this in a 7 month old! Excellent movement. BPiB.
2nd. Mogg, Mrs. S. & Mogg, Mr. A. Skidooshooz Dock Of The Bay (AI). Older at nearly 12 months and larger than 1st, but still in good proportion. Nice head and ear set. Good front and correct sloping topline. Just preferred the bone on 1st. Moved well.

1st. Dolan, Mrs. T. & Dolan, Miss L. Siskara We Will Rock You. Nearly 3 years old. Lovely broad head with excellent little ears. Strong neck, nice front, well boned. Lovely feet and well set tail. Excellent thick, harsh coat. Tireless easy movement. RDCC.
2nd. Jelfs, Mrs. K. Lapema Malizioso. 20 months old. Different from 1st: longer in the body, but still in good proportion. Good front, plenty of bone, lovely coat and excellent tail. Head needs to mature. Moved well.

Open Dog (2 entries, 0 absent) Two completely different dogs!
1st. Page, Mrs. M. & Page, Mr. P. Snowlegend Believe In You Cedarcreek (Imp Rus). Lovely 2 year old well proportioned dog. Nice head with lovely dark eyes. Strong neck into well angulated front. Correct sloping topline into well muscled, powerful hindquarters. Great bone and nice compact feet. In excellent coat. Nicely set tail that waved constantly. Easy movement. He floated round the ring. DCC & BoB.
2nd. Burnside, Miss S. & Burnside, Mr. M. Ice Gangsta’s Ball Of Fire For Chayo. 5 years old. Lovely colour and an excellent harsh coat. Good broad head with lovely small ears. Well proportioned in body and nicely set tail. Preferred movement of 1st.

Puppy Bitch (4 entries, 1 absent) This class was my favourite class of the day. All three were ‘proper’ puppies and were just excellent. It was really difficult choosing the line up, and I feel they could swap positions at any time.
1st. Forsey, Mr. E. & Forsey, Mrs. T. Muzoku Veil Of Voodoo. At just 6 months she was simply lovely. She had a lovely appearance and is a very pretty girl with a baby face! Excellent coat and good bone for her age. Stood square. She moved well once settled and was a serious contender for Best Puppy.
2nd. Lovegrove, Mrs. N. & Lowe, Mr. M. Snow Place Like Nome From Dreamwolves. 7 months old and a more mature head than 1st with nice markings. Lovely outline with good straight limbs. Excellent harsh coat and good tail. Moved well but just didn’t show as well as 1st at the end.

Junior Bitch (2 entries, 1 absent)
1st. Jelfs, Mrs. K. Lapema Bella Donnata. Just 6 months old. Also 3rd in Puppy Bitch where she came up against some strong competition and, as I said in my critique, it could have been in any order on any different day so I was pleased to be able to award her in this class. Immature head for now, but this will evolve. Well angulated front, nice bone and lovely coat with an excellent wavy plume. Good compact feet. Moved well.

Yearling Bitch (2 entries, 1 absent)
1st. McIver, Ms. S. Snowshoes Shimmering Star. Nearly 2 years old and a larger bitch, but still with good proportions. Good front angulation and moderately arched neck. Nicely placed tail just touching her back. Moved really well round the ring.

Limit Bitch (2 entries, 0 absent)
1st. York, Mrs. J. Chayo Starstruck With Snowstruck. Nearly 20 months old and a big girl but still even in proportions. Very pretty with lovely well set dark eyes. Good bone, nice feet. She has an excellent thick, harsh coat. She has a lot of maturing to do. Moved well.
2nd. Dolan, Mrs. T. & Dolan, Miss L. Siskara Dead Ringer For Love. Nearly 3 years old and smaller than 1st but of a good size. A lovely broad head with nice dark eyes. Well arched neck into a good sloping topline. Well set furry tail. Moved well.

Open Bitch (6 entries, 2 absent) A great class but a very mixed bag of bitches, each one being very different!
1st. Edwards, Mrs. E. & Molloy, Mr. S. Bel Ch Wintablizard Gin Lover (AI). 5 year old with a correct broad head with nice ears. Head in good proportion to her size. Lovely neck and front, with strong legs. Correctly sloping topline into a well angulated hindquarters with excellent turn of stifle. Stood square and true. Nicely set tail which she carried well. Lovely harsh coat. She moved with good reach and drive. BCC & BoS.
2nd. Copley-Holland, Mrs. K. Am Ch Katabatics Hollaback Girl. 4 year old and very different from 1st. She was larger. Broad skull, nice powerful front and straight front limbs. Good hindquarters with lovely square stand. Lovely tail which was carried well. She was in excellent coat, which was harsh. She moved powerfully round the ring. RBCC.
