Judge's Critiques
My thanks to the LKA officials for the invite to give CCs for the 4th time to this Breed in the UK. I enjoyed two of the very best stewards that also goes my thanks, we had a lovely large ring giving everyone the chance to show off their charge’s movement! And it was so nice to hear the clapping and cheering from the ringside for those placed.
MPD (8) 2Ab, some very nice youngsters in this class.
1st Res CC, Ellis-Payne, Chayo Here Comes Trouble, Wow 8 month old and I am sure the handler did not know how close he came to that CC, just ticked all my boxes, loved the size his profile and real look of class and quality , ex head details ex bite , the best of necks clean over the withers, ex fore chest so important for the job the breed was breed to do! Super bone and ex feet, deep chest tight elbows, the correct top-line and tail set carriage. powerful quarters with the correct angulation both back and front which enabled him to move with such freedom and accuracy, a dog with real ring presence, not only should he do well in his breed but I can see him making an impression in all breed competition, he has the right attitude , was so happy to be told on my way home he topped the working puppy Group . yes, you could say I was impressed.
2nd Keeling, Kishdigra Criminal Inferno, clever name for his colour, again a top class baby with so much going for him, typical profile, ex breed type and a real look of quality, ex head details correct bite , strong neck clean over the withers, balance body and again strong quarters with that easy free movement I insist upon, showing huge promise and I would expect him to do very well in the ring .
3rd Burgess & Burgess, & Page, Cedarcreek The Only Way Is Up. Also showing much promise.
PD (4) 2ab,1st, 3rd in minor puppy, The Only Way Is Up, quality baby, with lots of the required breed points needed at this stage in his development, just needs to get his act together on the move.
2nd, Aitchison & Hurst, Kaskae Ps I Louvre You, bigger in breed type, masculine again ex head details ex bite, typical profile, moves freely totally sound but not quite the accurate footfall of those in front.
YD (3) 2ab,
1st, Facer & Facer, Chayo Unlock the Power, love the breed type and his look of quality, masculine head, bite could be better, ex reach of neck straight front lovely bone and feet, the correct profile and top line, pleasing quarters and he moves freely.
PG (2) 1ab,
1st, Druce & Druce, Kaskae Hell of A View at Druxie (AI). Quality to look at, very attractive head eye and bite, typical when stood with the correct top-line, but I would like a better front action coming towards me and more drive and power behind.
LD (2)
1st CC, Smith & Smith, Cash The Check Shamanrock at Snowshoes ( Cze Imp). Top class, wrote in my book CC quality, masculine plenty of dog, could certainly do the job he was bred to do. Love the head eye and mouth, correct ear set, the best of necks flows over the withers, straight front, super bone correct feet deep chest tight elbows ex profile, in fact just as lovely hands on as well as to look at, powerful quarters and so impressed me on the move, ex jacket handled and shown to perfection. Would be very surprised if he does not make his title but that puppy pushed him all the way.
2nd, Ellis-Payne, Chayo Obsidian, no doubt this male has a lot going for him, but today gave his handler a hard time. Difficult to assess his action today enough said.
OD (6) 2ab,
1st Jelfs, CH Lapema Malizioso , looked and moved like the Champion he is! I would have no trouble signing a CC for him and was not at all surprized to find him titled, in the challenge I follow my eye which I trust, But I did think him a lovely mature male.
2nd, Tozzi, Am Ch the Magician Uniroyal (Imp) It. Different in breed type being smaller, but even so, so much to like. a real look of quality about him typical profile, liked his head ex bite, strong neck ex shoulder angulation, tight elbows ex bone , loved his topline and big quarters showed strength and forward reach with drive behind, another I would have no difficulty giving a CC, all-round a very impressive male.
VD (2)
1st, Croft, Dreamwolves Oh My Oh My VW, lovely veteran in fabulous form, ex type overall shape and balance , ex clean mouth, typical stood but his accurate movement secured his 1st place
2nd ,Woodhead & Woodhead, Noraisy Take My Breath Away (JW). Yet another lovely veteran, so much going for him in fact stood could have been 1st but he could not match the winner on the move, obviously well loved and looked after his body condition was 1st class.
SB (3) 2ab,
1st in SY.
MPB (2)
1st, Druce & Druce, Kaskae Ooh La La Avec Druxie, quality, ex breed type and very well developed for age ,feminine head with all the correct details, super neck flows over the withers no lumps or bumps ,straight front ex bone tight elbows, correct back-line and ex angulation behind with strength on those hock joints , so much to like and I would think a very promising future ahead for this baby .
2nd, Jarvis & Troisi, Cedarcreek Uptown Girl, quality ex breed type , I did prefer the neck and cleanness over the withers on my winner , but this girl also has much to like , a different day a different judge I am sure they could swap around .
PB (1) 1st repeat of MP.
JB (5) 4ab
1st 2nd in MP
YB (2)1ab,
1st, Jelfs, Chayo High Jinks with Lapema, now I did like this girl very much, loved the breed type her overall look of quality and balance, perfect head ex bite, correct neck and straight front with plenty of for chest, ex bone lovely feet. such a lovely body with depth of brisket and tight elbows, free easy action came towards me well but just a little close behind going away this held her back in the challenge, but I liked so many things about her! Judging it must be on the day. Another day I can see her pushing at the highest level.
PG (2) 1ab,
1st, Burgess & Burgess, Tolketna Top Of The World to Mountainglen, quality feminine, ex breed type liked her head details, balanced profile ex front deep chest, again could be slightly stronger going away.
LB (4) 2ab
1st, Smith & Smith, Snowshoes Fancy Ferrari (JW). Lovely girl suits me perfectly for breed type overall balance and such a typical profile. Feminine head with everything to like, super neck ex angulation back and front. Straight front super bone, tight elbows, in fact I truly liked this girl and did look at her for the Res CC she is CC quality in my opinion.
2nd, Kenna, Lueldar Dark Lady at Huron, bigger girl, lots to like not quite the top-line I wanted, good head details pleasing neck ex bone, free sound action.
OB (6) 2ab
1st CC & BOB, Page & Page, CH The Magician Bloody Mary Cedarcreek (Imp).for me a comfortable BOB winner, I liked everything about her from her nose to her bum , I did later ask if it was her 1st CC I was told she as several and that did not surprize me one bit, and apart her looking the part she had the movement I insist upon , just loved her and a most popular win by the applause .
2nd Res CC, Keeling, IrCh Kishdigra the Criminals Kiss, Red, super bitch with most of the details I look for, typical profile and she moved her way into the Res spot. Feminine, shown to perfection, I hope she makes up would make a very worthy Champion, but she was pushed by the Limit winner.
VB (3) 1ab
1st, 2 and what a two wonderful Champions, 1st, Edwards Molly, Bel CH Wintablizard Gin Lover (A1), In fabulous form, everything to like I have no intention of criticizing any veteran, she is a huge credit to her owner that has kept her in such ex-form.
2nd Brown, CH Skidooshooz Bohemian Soul of Cupun (A1). yet another wonderful Champion and again in ex form, you could swap this pair around and you would not be wrong, thank you both for giving me the pleasure of going over them.
JUDGE BARRIE M CROFT.
