What a great entry! I have always loved this show and it was fantastic to have the opportunity to judge here, especially during these very difficult times where we have all had to learn to be even more tolerant, patient and understanding with each other than usual. As is always the case when you have a good entry, both in numbers and quality, which this certainly was, not everyone can win and some truly lovely dogs were unlucky to come up against some that were even lovelier on the day. I know it’s a bit of a cliché, but many of the orders could be different on another day! And, unfortunately, due to the circumstances with no carpet in the ring (I understand that the overnight deep cleaning requirements meant that this was not possible) there were a few that were clearly not happy with the floor, and this was reflected in their placings. Generally, the worrying traits that I see creeping into the breed were not apparent today, and temperaments were, on the whole, pretty sound, though some of the younger entries could do with a little more training. Finally, as I have said before, I do love the veterans. This is a late-maturing breed and to see dogs that I have judged before turning into well-balanced, fit and functional oldies, is delightful.

1st. Innes’ Icycool Hudson Bay. Handsome 8 month old male with pleasing head, correct almond shape eye and lovely small ears. Plenty of bone, held his topline well, good tail set and carriage. In good coat. Moved true coming and going with good reach and drive. BDP.
2nd. Smith & Brandenberg’s Chayo It’s Kurt Taronakits. Another 8 month old male with a pleasing head, dark almond shape eye, correctly placed ears. Lovely bone. Held topline well on the move where he covered the ground with ease. Plenty of coat.

2nd. Horsman-Phoenix & Horsman’s Nordicwinds Greatest Showman. 11 month old male with pleasing correct dark eyes and good ear set. Good bone, correct topline held well. In good coat. Moved well.

1st. Blair’s Cedarcreek Heart Of London. 19 month old male with pleasing head, good ear set. Plenty of bone, correct topline held well. In good coat. Moved with drive.
2nd. Brouard’s Orsamals Pepe Le Peew (GKC). 3 year old male that I judged previously as a junior and it’s good to see him maturing nicely. Pleasing head and expression, dark eye. Correct topline. In good coat. Plenty of bone. Moved well.

1st. Reid’s Austmans Cowboy Casanova At Jaydonspire. Handsome 4 year old male with great head, correctly set well-furred ears, good eye shape and set. Plenty of bone, good front, topline held well. Correct tail set and carriage. In good harsh coat. Moved with ease and good reach and drive. A well-deserved DCC & BoB and I was delighted to learn that I have previously given a top award to his grandfather.
2nd. Innes’ Icycool Atomic. 18 month old male with good head and pleasing expression. Good shape and set to ears which were well furred. Dark eye. Plenty of bone. Topline ok and held well. Moved with good reach and drive.

1st. Wolfe’s Ch Hawkeye Polarni Usvit VW. I have judged this 11 year old male twice before, and he is still looking good. Excellent head with dark eye and small well-furred ears. Correct topline held well, good tail carriage. Plenty of bone and good harsh coat. Moved with good reach and drive. Only just lost out to the DCC winner but very happy to give him the RDCC.
2nd. Butler’s Kaytoo Antarctic Kuma. 9 year old male with an appealing head and expression. Correct topline held well, good tail carriage. Bone OK, in good coat. Moved with good reach and drive.
