Judge's Critiques

Always a pleasure to judge this the largest and strongest of the sled breeds! Very happy with the entry of 57 dogs making 78 entries. A few coats on the blow, no problem and sensible in this hot weather, coats come and go, bred type, construction and that so important correct movement is present or will never be! Absolute soundness is a must, and I kept in my mind could this dog do the job he was bred to do? If I had one concern I was a little disappointed to find six mouths not correct in this entry. We had a large ring allowing everyone the chance to show their dogs movement, and I had two wonderful stewards, Liz Holmes-Leak and hubby Neville Leak, my thanks to you both. The icing on the cake was seeing some of my winners do so well in the Stakes and Groups.

PD (3,1)
1 and BP, Ellis, Chayo Cause Celebre, at his first champ show I was told later, you don’t have to be clever to see this is something special. Shouts quality and breed type, excellent head, excellent bite, strong neck straight front, lovely bone and correct feet, so important in this breed, deep brisket and such a strong topline, he as the correct angulation both back and front, strong powerful quarters. In lovely condition and that movement was always going to tick my box, I did look at him for the Res CC and I am sure a brilliant future ahead. He was handled to perfection, every time I looked he looked right, delighted to hear after judging he had won Runner-up over the 3 days puppy Stakes.
2 Lond-Caulk, Icewolf King Of The North. Totally different in breed type, quality boy, still needs to grow on, pleasing head, shapely and totally sound just needs to settle into his showing, young as plenty of time.

JD (3)
1, Res CC, Woodhead, Noraisy Take My Breath, 14 month, really appealed to my eye and the more I looked the more he impressed, masculine head, excellent eye, excellent bite, lovely neck fitting into the best of shoulders, straight front excellent bone, excellent feet, lovely shape to his body and a strong backline, powerful quarters, the young lady handling made such a good job. Totally filled my eye on the move, real extension and drive behind. Lovely youngster I see homebred, sure to do well I felt he could have moved all day no problem, fit with excellent muscle, could do his job.
2 Kelsey, Austmans Cowboy Casanova At Jaydonspire. Much to like with this youngster, liked the head shapely body, losing his jacket, not quite the front action coming towards me as winner.

PG (2)
1 Cameron, Sutarka Fire Storm, quality masculine, loved that head excellent eye. Shapely body better behind than front, tends to turn front feet out, needs to settle into his showing.

LD (8,3)
1 Page & Jarvis, Cedarcreek Frozen Asset (JW). Top class loved his breed type overall balance and look of quality, excellent head, eye and bite, strong neck super front, excellent bone excellent feet, deep chest excellent heart room. Strong topline and powerful quarters, loved that free easy action. In my opinion ticket quality.
2 Ellis, Chayo Suspicious Minds, another top class male, just 12 month, different in breed type and a little shorter on the leg than winner. Super head, two quality males but different preferred the winner going away from me but he’s sound and moves freely.

OD (7,1)
1, CC topping a lovely class of quality males, Ellis, CH Chayo Klass Act (JW), winning his 7th CC so I am told and it was no surprise to me to find him titled, looked and moved like a Champion, not only all the qualities I was looking for, but he is shown in the most immaculate form, easy sound true action was always going to appeal to me. His profile is so correct I wrote liked all 5 but this dog just had style and attitude in my judging book.
2 Blackburns, Ger CH Cristakell April Shadows, I gave this top quality male a Res CC as a youngster! Have not changed my mind still think he is Champion quality. Strong, excellent head shapely body and he is another that so impress on the move.

VD (4,1)
1 Lond-Caulk, Icewolf Devil May Cry, easy winner and I was truly impressed. Proof of the lasting qualities of this breed. Excellent head, straight front super bone and feet. Deep chest plenty of heart room, shapely profile and very pleasing quarters, he was in excellent condition and covered the ground with ease and strength. Top class.
2 Jarvis, Brown & Packham, Icetrax Red Diesel, quality male, not quite the action of winner being a little straight in shoulder and not the hind action of first, in excellent body and condition.

SB (1)
1 Anderton-Tyers, Articrain Viva Las Vegas At Flintsky, a little surprised to find a dog of this quality in this class! Quality, excellent breed type, loved that head, ears and a lovely front. Excellent feet. Deep chest lovely profile and he could move covered the ground with ease, all round a lovely boy.

PB (3,1)
1 Perfitt, Samjoes The One And Only. Very nice, quality and breed type in full, feminine head good eye and ears excellent bite, good neck straight front excellent bone, shapely profile and good quarters, easy action, showing lots of promise.
2 Jelfs, Lapema Gia Visto, different, not quite the top-line of winner or her hind action! Good bone, pleasing front, sound.

JB (4,1)
1 Perfitt, Samjoes The One and Only (repeat of puppy).
2 Ballington-Graham, Noraisy Ring Of Fire In Catua, quality, stood looked the winner, feminine very attractive head, liked her hind action front could be a little cleaner coming towards me, but she has a little if I was not happy with.

PG (7,2)
1 Windley, Royaltaylor Catwalk Queen, Strong girl, loved that head and dark eye, excellent bite, super bone and feet, deep chest, looks quality and her movement was sound and accurate. Honest & sound sums her up.
2 Perfitt, Samjoe The Dream Lives On (ai). Smaller, quality feminine girl, lots to like, but I did prefer the hind action of my winner, this lady went onto win the Special Beginners Stakes, Congratulations.

LB (7,2)
1 Brown, Skidooshooz Bohemian Soul Of Cupun (ai). The more I looked the more this girl appealed, big strong well muscle and certainly capable of doing her job, loved the head type, excellent eye excellent bite, straight front good feet, deep chest strong backline and wonderful strength behind, of cause that action was going to get my approval, carries her self really well.
2 Page, Cedarcreek Frozen in Time, different in breed type smaller and perhaps more me! But she was not totally happy and as a result could not match the winner on the move, even so I really liked this girl on form will do really well.

OB (6,3) Three quality girls,
1, CC + BOB, Ellis, Chayo Inspiration (JW) ShCM winning her 2nd ticket today so I was told later. Instantly caught my eye, shouts quality and breed type, feminine, excellent head eye and bite, strong neck straight front, excellent bone with lovely feet! Stunning profile and shown in the most immaculate condition, super back-end, I just loved every thing about her. Her clever handler got everything out of her, and yes that wonderful action was always going to impress me, real power house on the move, I was later told this CC was this Kennels 150th Remarkable to consistently produce Malamutes of outstanding breed type and with the movement to go with it!
2 Jelfs, Lapema Nino Vudu (JW). Quality, class and a lovely breed type, all the qualities you would want in a Champion and boy this was another that could move. Happily sign a CC for her I can give no bigger compliment.

VB (5,2)
1, Res CC and 4th Veteran Group Ch Blaney, Ch Windberg Paparazzi To Fenrirkin ShCM, WOW stunning veteran and only recently made-up I am told, wonder why? She totally filled my eye all the qualities you would expect a Champion to have, and boy she could move, foot perfect real power house on the move, her talented handler showed her to perfection, Top Class.
2 Blackburns, Ger Vdh. Int. Dk Ch Celticwolf Long Night ShCM. Quality feminine classy bitch, in wonderful condition. Could not match the winner on the move.

SB (1) 1 Perfitt, Samjoe The Dream Lived On (ai) wonderful win for her today finishing best in the Working Group, reported Earlier.
