I always enjoy the opportunity to assess this impressive breed and this was no exception. The weather was great and a happy atmosphere. Not a great entry but I had some very typical, sound worthy winners. However, several points gave me cause for concern. Too many carried tails that although not flat on their back were not far from it. I was surprised by the number that had poor feet, lacking thick pads and being almost shapeless. In order for this breed to perform the task it was bred for well arched feet with thick pads is vital in order that they maintain endurance and staying power. A number were too low on leg. Several were bald or in between coats which is understandable at this time of year and didn’t affect me unduly. Temperaments were A1.

1st Smith, Snowshoes Noble One, 7mo this lad presented a lovely outline and was a pleasure to go over, head is proportioned and developing well, dark almond eye obliquely set gave typical expression, straight well boned limbs into reasonable feet, straight back with slight slope into well set and carried tail, presented and handled to advantage.
2nd Finan, Gold of Maya Good Day Sunshine, same age and well grown, I liked his head and strong neck, he has ample bone supporting moderately laid shoulders, sprung ribcage with topline and tail to suit.

1st Page, Snow Legend Believe in You Cedarcreek. Promising prospect, he presents a balanced outline and his head is developing well, dark eye well placed, obliquely set and of dark colour, his parallel limbs carry enough bone and he has decent feet, good spring to ribcage, strong loin, correct tailset and carriage, moderately defined hindquarters, sound laid back action, BP.

1st Darlow, Iceclimb Ascent, developed head with strength to muzzle but felt his skull could flatten a little, not really using ears which appeared low set, moderately placed shoulders supported by strong limbs and reasonable feet, firm topline with good set on and carriage, moderately shaped hindquarters and a sound typical mover, shown in good coat with coarse stand away guard hair.

1st Blaney, Viking Fenrir Kin of Kiyara’s Wolf Pak, masculine and balanced with strength to head, well shaped and placed eye, would prefer less stop, flat skull with smallish ears set well apart, clean front assembly supported by straight limbs with enough bone, deep brisket and ribcage well shaped, straight back with gentle slope and tail to enhance, moderately defined muscular hindquarters, moved soundly and effortlessly.
2nd Forsey, Cristakell April Moon over Muzoku, handsome lad shown in excellent condition and coat, I just favoured head of the winner, sound limbs with shape to body and good width through, moved soundly but not quite the scope of winner.

1st Pullin & Mountstephens, Ch Inupiats Qulit Henrik at Whitewalker, upstanding lad in superb muscular condition, possibly a mite tall but he is superbly balanced with a proud bearing, beautifully constructed in all departments, he has a clean head with strong muzzle and width between well placed forward small ears, I would like less stop to be picky, arched neck into firm shoulders, beautiful parallel legs and thick shapely feet, shape to ribcage, firm back with slope and well carried tail, powerfully built hindquarters, his movement is light with scope and dignified carriage a joy to behold, shown in great nick, CC & BOB.
2nd Ellis, Chayo Cause Celebre, very worthy chap also presenting an impressive outline, strength to muzzle, lovely eye, modest stop and breadth to skull, clean forehand and well boned straight legs, correct topline with reasonable tail carriage, very sound movement but not quite the carriage of winner, coarse standoff coat and excellent condition, RCC.

1st Wolfe, Ch Hawkeye Polarni Usvit, quality lad approaching 9yo and in excellent condition, conveys an impressive and typical outline, his frame is beautifully developed and correctly angulated, I liked his head and attributes, clean shoulders, deep brisket and shapely body with topline held firm, hindquarters compliment fore and he produced sound free typical action, shown in beautiful condition, BV.
2nd Robb, Multi Ch Under Icewolfe’s Star Inditarod, 9yo of a similar stamp, very balanced and soundly built in all departments, I liked his head and attributes, he too produced sound laid back action and was shown in lovely condition, a credit to their owners.

1st Lovegrove, Weyekin’s Light My Fire Within Arctictribe clean head with reasonable eye, modest stop and broad flat skull, well placed ear, enough bone into good feet, correct topline and strong loin, moderately defined hindquarters, moved well, harsh coat, BSB.
2nd Pitcher, Marahootay Linx under Tatkresiwok, balanced head, just a mite bold in eye, powerful gently arched neck into well placed shoulders with hindquarters to compliment, nicely presented.

1st Ellis, Chayo Vasilisa, feminine without weakness, head balanced and developing well, dark well placed obliquely set eye, yet to grow into her ears, strong and gently arched neck, pleasing front assembly, developed ribcage, reasonable topline with correct tailset well carried, moderately defined hindquarters and purposeful movement, well presented coat.
2nd Forsey, Muzoku Maleficent Me, much to admire with this lady, her frame is well constructed but she needs to come up on the leg a tad to complete balance, moved out well holding tail to advantage.

1st Horsman & Horsman-Phoenix, Snow Legend Be My Lucky Nordicwinds, convincing winner scoring for overall balance, breed type and soundness of construction, moved soundly with scope as I would have expected from her make with tail carried well.
2nd Forsey, Muzoku Maleficent Me.

1st Jelfs, Lapema Gia Visto, 20mo with well proportioned head, strength to muzzle, dark eye, modest stop, clean cheeks, ears a little soft still, clean neck, deep brisket and sound limbs, correct topline with some slope, hindquarters muscular but a tad over angulated, quality coat and texture.

2nd Pitcher, Lueldar Stardust Onyx over Tatkresiwok, head developing, clean neck and front assembly, parallel limbs into good feet but could come up on the leg a little to present a more balanced outline, depth to brisket and well ribbed up, moderate hindquarters, moved steady but topline could firm up a little, well handled.

1st Dobson & Wolfe, Sutarka La Dolle Vita, feminine with quality and style, her frame is well developed and she carries an attractive head with attributes to compliment, clean neck, good legs and feet, her ribcage is well sprung with topline to suit, carried tail a little close to back, not in her best bib and tucker today.
2nd Roach & Pyper, Celticice Selma Saorla, naked and nothing to hide, not the best of forehands, her back is flat and the coat she does have is of correct coarse texture, will take longer to mature.

1st Smith, Snowshoes The White Witch, very balanced in profile with attractive head and features, her frame is well constructed but she is a little narrow through, very honest to go over which is endorsed by her sound movement, I liked her topline and tail carriage, just requires more time to fulfil her potential.
2nd Clarke, Electra Illa Kuvianartok at Whiteout, fairly typy but a little longer caste, her head has width to skull and strength to muzzle with modest stop, almond eye is well placed and ears about right, clean shoulders with hindquarters to compliment, moved steady.

1st Ellis Ch Chayo Blue Diamond, well made strong lady who retains femininity, I really liked her head with attributes just right, powerful neck with gentle arch into useful shoulders and strong straight limbs, developed chest with depth, sprung ribcage, broad flat back with gentle slope and strong loin, moderately shaped muscular hindquarters, moved with reach and drive holding topline well, quality coat and presentation, just favoured tail carriage of dog for BOB.
2nd Robb, Icewolf It’s Only Witchcraft, excellent for type and totally honest to assess, well proportioned head with moderate stop, strong muzzle and width between well placed small ears, clean neck and forehand, ample bone, brisket well let down, shape to ribcage and moderately defined hindquarters, laid back action with good deportment and tail carriage, RCC.

1st Butler , Kaytoo Antartic Anko, 7yo and shown in lovely condition, I liked her expressive head with obliquely set eyes, strong muscle and developed skull, well built frame and movement to impress.
2nd Roach & Pyper, Celticice Quinarius Nessie, 8yo of considerable quality and shown in excellent condition to full advantage, just preferred leg length of winner, moved very well.

2nd Warburton, Tailfly Jitterbug, reasonable head, a tad bold in eye, modest neck with shape, little longer caste than winner, moved steady and was very well presented.
