Judge's Critiques
In thanking those who were present on the day, I would like to record that there were no questionable temperaments, indeed all the exhibits were excellent in this regard, bites were good, and that I much appreciated the general level of presentation and handling.
VD (12, 1)
1 Virtanan’s Int/Cro/Fi Ch Garcon Luv’s Hot Shot’s NORDJW-10, HEJW-10, Cro/Hu V Ch (ATC AV00078FIN). A powerful dog who has excellent angulation and was shown with good hard muscle. Overall he gave the impression of an excellent working example of the breed and he won the class on his freedom of movement. Strong top line and parallel when viewed on the out and back. Good pasterns and excellent feet.
2 Wolfe’s Ch Hawkeye Polarni Usvit (Imp Cze). Whilst not quite possessing the gait of first this dog has an excellent head, is well angulated and displayed easy ground covering movement. Good top line, tail set and carriage.
MPD (2)
1 Ellis’ Chayo Suspicious Minds. A delightful youngster who was just a little more together than his competition on the day. Charming head and expression, well set ears and eyes of the correct shape, good proportions in profile and balanced angulation. Well held top line, correct croup and moved with plenty of drive from behind. A good prospect.
2 Smith’s Snowshoes Telmarine King. Just a little more ‘up behind’ at this stage which tended to ‘throw’ movement amongst other things. Good head, excellent shoulder, and strong top line. Good forward reach on the move the rest will come into line in due course.
PD (5)
1 Smith’s Snowshoes Telmarine King. As above.
2 Woodgate’s Snowshoes Mountain Ranger. The overall impression is of a nice puppy. Correct head and good overall proportions. Just had a tendency to ‘toe out’ coming and going, which I am quite sure will resolve itself with maturity, but good potential.
JD (5, 2)
1 John’s Nyrakym’s All That Remains Samaljankan To Cristakell (Imp USA) TAF. Unusual yet standard fitting head type, he completely outmoved the class. He will be slow to mature but as a youngster demonstrated good athleticism on the move. Balanced angulation throughout, good topline and correct croup, tail set and carriage. Correct pasterns and good feet. At his best he will always have good hard muscle.
2 Raby’s Yuayua At Icemoon (Imp Swe). This youngster still has a lot of maturing to do. But has good shoulder, well held top line, good feet and an excellent coat. Easy on the move when settled.
YD (7)
1 Filippova’s Emelyan Ot Filippovoy (ATC AV00006RUS). An overall impression of power and strength. Good bone, balanced throughout, correct angle of pastern and ‘fit’ feet. An absolutely parallel and ground covering gait.
2 Machielsen & Valk’s Arctic Voice Blue Lagoon NJK17 BJWNL17 (ATC AU01811NLD). Not quite the power and presence of first, but another good example of the breed. Balanced angulation and a smooth ground covering gait.
PGD (11, 1)
1 Roach & Pyper’s Celticice Tynam Quillan. Excellent head and expression, powerful well angulated shoulders complemented by a good turn of stifle providing plenty of drive from behind. Absolutely parallel coming and going, shown in good hard condition and in good coat.
2 Edwards & Molloy’s Wintablizard’s Investment (AI). Very sound on the move but not possessing quite the athleticism of first. Good bone, strong masculine head, well held topline with good croup, tail set and carriage.
MLD (4)
1 Horsman & Horsman-Phoenix’s Nordicwinds Action Hero ShCM. Very ‘clean’ well put together exhibit who won the class on his superior movement. Balanced throughout with correct pasterns and good tight feet. Typical head and expression.
2 Windley & Taylor’s Royaltaylor Black Pearl. Not quite the front assembly of first, but nevertheless, apparently very sound. Strong topline and when settled he was impressive when viewed in profile, but he was somewhat inconsistent on the day.
LD (9, 1)
1 Loades’ Snowolf Black Ice Buddy. A quality example of the Breed who like others is a slow ‘maturer’. Appealing head, excellent shoulder and a good turn of stifle providing a parallel and ground covering gait. Good bone, correct angle of pastern and good feet. What particularly appeals is that this exhibit is in no way ‘over done’ as can be the case in the breed and the fact that he still appears to be a junior is a credit to his further future potential.
2 Burnside’s Libertia I Am Legend. Good head, strong well angulated shoulder and nice turn of stifle providing a good easy ground covering gait. Correct bone, excellent feet.
OD (17, 1)
1 Ellis’ Ch Chayo Formula One. Took the class on his superior movement and handled to advantage. Balanced front and rear, certainly a dog who is up on the leg. However, taking in the full picture all is in excellent proportion and he has a good masculine head, powerful shoulders and a strong top line. Good bone and shown in excellent coat and condition.
2 Nawrocka & Phillips’ Multi Ch Monikoona Most Wanted JW. Another nice example of the Breed who is well angulated throughout with as much length in the mid back as one might like. Faultless on the move, shown in excellent coat and condition and very well handled.
GCD (3, 2)
1 Kay’s Kaytoo Antarctic Riki.Easy on the move with a quick, light footed gait. Typical head and expression, balanced fore and aft with a well held topline and correct croup and tail set.
VB (14, 4)
1 Loades’ Ch Snowolf Manhatten Marvel. A super Veteran bitch and one I have had the pleasure to see in the past. Completely out moved the class and was very unlucky to meet strong opposition for the two green cards. Absolutely ‘clean’ throughout with a good tight coat, excellent feminine head and expression, and great balance and angulation. Good bone and correct feet. A credit too the breed.
2 Ballington-Graham’s Catua On The Run. Another free moving veteran, standard fitting head and good angulation throughout. Shown in good coat and excellent condition.
MPB (1)
1 Smith’s Snowshoes The White Witch. Attractive youngster with good conformation and balance. Moved with confidence. A good prospect.
PB (5, 2)
1 Ballington-Graham’s Noraisy Ring Of Fire In Catua. Well proportioned puppy with a good head, balanced angulation and whilst carrying weight on the day managed to move to good effect whilst maintaining a strong topline.
2 Warburton’s Tailfly Jitterbug. Good angulation, but for me a little more length of back than I would expect which I am sure will be balanced out through general growth and maturity. Covered the ground with a good parallel gait.
JB (10, 2)
1 Dobson & Wolfe’s Sutarka La Dolle Vita.Possessed the best overall conformation within the class and consequently moved with an easy ground covering gait. Good head and shown in good coat and condition.
2 Perfitt’s Samjoe The Dream Lives On (A1). Full of life and sparkle on the day a real show girl! Nice head with good eye and well set ears, balanced, and shown in good hard condition.
YB (6, 1)
1 Dobson & Wolfe’s Sutarka La Dolle Vita. As above.
2 Vos & Tuerlinckx Qilaqs Portrait Of A Beauty (ATC AU02989BEL). Lost out to first who possessed the better overal coat and condition. But this is another quality bitch who has a good shoulder and plenty of drive from behind. A good prospect.
PGB (14, 6)
1 Jelfs’ Lapema Tavola Ouija ShCM JW. Won the class on her superior movement. Attractive head, good reach of neck, strong topline. Correct bone, good pasterns and tidy feet.
2 Elliott & Campbell’s Packice Neiden Winterling. Balanced, and shown in good coat and condition. Covered the ground with an easy gait and possessed plenty of drive from the rear.
MLB (8)
1 Page’s Cedarcreek Frozen In Time.Good overall proportions when viewed in profile. Very light effortless gait derived from balanced angulation. Good angle of pastern and ‘fit feet’.
2 Windley & Taylor’s Royaltaylor Crown Jewel JW. Whilst possessing good angulation she was not able to hold her top line whilst in the stand. All came together on the move however with good reach and drive.
LB (17, 3)
1 Biagiotti’s Noelle Del Biagio WW (ATC AU02814ITA). The first two were very close in quality, on the day with first just edging the top position on overall condition. Super head and expression with high set ears and keen dark eye. Excellent angulation throughout and a very easy sustained gait. Much to be admired.
2 Druce & Druce’s Koromandel On Strange Tides (A1). Another high quality bitch with correct bone and good balance. Nice reach of neck, powerful shoulders and absolutely sound topline.
OB (17, 1)
1 Smith’s Ch Snowshoes Aurora Borealis JW ShCM. This exhibit won a class of quality. 1 edged the class on faultless movement and excellent condition. Lovely feminine head, good reach of neck, powerful shoulders and demonstrated that she could move and ‘free stand’ without any adjustment. A great example of the breed.
2 Van Poucke’s Libertia Oops I Did It Again B JCh NL JCh BENELUX JW BENELUX W (ATC AU01788IKC). Shown to advantage this quality bitch stood out from the rest of the class as a clear second. Moved with efficiency, and stood to show off her overall balance and class. Unlucky to meet first on the day.
GCB (5)
1 Perfitt’s Samjoe The Dream Lives On (A1). Second in junior.
2 Anderson’s Cherubini Midnight Wolf. Super veteran, good angulation, nice reach of neck and good ground covering parallel gait. Keen alert expression. held her profile well and a credit to the breed.
