I will start by saying thank you to the Boston & District CS for the invitation to judge at their show, it is always an honour to judge our breed, so thank you to all the exhibitors who came along and allowed me to go over your dogs on the day, additionally thank you to my two stewards for the day. Some excellent examples of the breed for me to judge, with four bitches making my decisions for the top honours very difficult, a nice problem to have for any judge I would suggest. All in all a very nice judging appointment, my biggest thanks go to the lovely dogs I had before me.

Minor Puppy Dog – 3 Entries, 0 abs
1st – Mr J & Mrs D Kelsey, Austmans Cowboy Casanova at Jaydonspire. At 7 months he is an impressive boy with plenty of bone/substance, nice tight feet, correct waving plume and a correct coat. His head is very pleasing well balanced with a nice shaped & sized muzzle to head proportion, scissors bite. A nice oblique dark eye, small ear correctly shaped as the skull grows the ear placement should be spot on. Movement is good and sound for a youngster, he did play his handler up a little but a pup with a bit of spirit is good to see. BP
2nd – Mrs J Whyman, Heartbreaker Siwash Legend (Imp CZE). A 7 months old seal & white boy, well put together in terms of proportions and an overall balanced look. Harsh correct coat and nice tail set, stands quite proud of himself, head is good although will develop as he grows, he has a nice dark eye of correct shape, good ear placement & shape overall a pleasing expression with correct bite. Movement was positive and controlled.

Junior Dog – 3 Entries, 0 abs
1st – Ms A & L Drake & Holt. Freezefactor Tis The Season at Breconfrost. 14 months and a very well put together balanced dog with good proportions throughout, good bone, nice topline & good angles with a nice harsh coat. Head is very typical with pleasing expression correct bite ears & eyes are correct shape, size and set. Movement is powerful true and easy for him, he is straight both coming and going.
2nd – Mr R & Mrs N Raby. Yuayua at Icemoon (Imp SWE). Again 14 months a well-developed boy who is still a bit loose at times when moving, however when he settled he did move well and with purpose. Nice bone and substance. Head with a typical soft expression a nice dark eye, correct bite and good sized muzzle both in length & depth.

Post Graduate Dog – 3 Entries, 1 abs
1st – Miss N Singh. Mountain Home Sledog Staxtacular (Imp USA). A nicely put together boy with good overall balance, good bone correct topline and tail, harsh coat. A strong head with deep muzzle correct eye & ear placement, size & shape, dark eye all giving a pleasing expression.Correct bite. On the move he is true and powerful driving with some purpose.
2nd – Mrs K Jelfs. Lapema Garoto Rude JW. A well-made boy with good bone, good overall shape, nice topline and tail set & correct harsh coat. Head is good overall with correct scissor bite, nice dark eye correct shape, muzzle is of good size, shape and proportions. Sound and balanced on the move

Limit Dog – 4 Entries, 1 abs
1st – Mrs J E Smith. Snowshoes King’s Legacy SHCM. A very good dog, bone/substance is excellent, nice overall shape & proportions, correct harsh coat, topline & tail give that typical look. Head is pleasing with a soft expression and correct shaped eye, nice and dark, small ears placed correctly, his muzzle is strong and bite is correct. Movement is spot on, driving with each stride & very fluid. Strong straight legs both standing and moving. RCC
2nd – Mrs S J Loades. Snowolf Black Ice Buddy. Tough call on this one, another very good example of the breed, good structure and well balanced with good angles & proportions, nice topline and good tail set, coat is harsh. A very typical head with that soft expression set off by the dark eye of correct shape, ears are small and set wide, strong muzzle and correct bite. When moving he is smooth purposeful and true.

Open Dog – 4 Entries, 2 abs
1st – Ms G Cameron. Icewolf I’ll Be Back. A nice dog in lots of ways and pushed for RCC, he has nice proportions and balance, bone & angles are excellent, coat is harsh topline good and tail correctly set. Head is strong, ears and eyes are correctly shaped sized and placed, muzzle is of super size & shape deep & strong, correct Scissor bite. He was in excellent hard condition and it showed when he moved with power and drive,an impressive boy
2nd – Miss R Brown. O’Kinastar Fire Me Up SHCM. Another well-built and nicely put together dog, he has good bone and overall proportions, a good looking boy. Tail topline & coat are all good. Head is strong with a nice soft expression good dark eye and well placed ears, bite is correct and muzzle strong and broad.Displayed sound movement , controlled and true. On another day, he will take awards.

Veteran Dog – 3 Entries, 1 abs
1st – Miss S Wolfe. CH Hawkeye Polarni Usvit (Imp CZE). A very good example of the breed this boy, he is very well put together with heavy bone and substance to match his size. His angulation gives the well balanced dog that he is, top-line sloping to a correctly set tail. He was in hard condition, muscled well throughout. Coat is of harsh texture. Head is typically strong, masculine but having a soft expression set off by a dark eye of correct shape, skull is broad with ears small and wide set, his muzzle is deep and in proportion to the rest of the head, correct scissor bite. Movement is easy and powerful, straight and true away & back. BV, CC & BOB
2nd – Mr R & Mrs N Raby. Snowolf Black Ice Striker at Icemoon. A dog of good size and overall shape with good bone, harsh coat, good top-line and correct tail. Nice head and expression good soft dark eye and strong muzzle, correct bite. Moving, he is sound and purposeful.

Minor Puppy Bitch – 2 Entires, 0 abs
1st – Mr B & Mrs S Innes. Icycool Oriana. A cracking little girl of 8 months with good all-round shape & angles, good bone. Topline, tail set and coat are correct for the breed. Her head is pleasing with good eye shape, nice & dark . Muzzle is strong with correct bite. When she moves she is focused and controlled, she is straight and true both front & rear.
2nd – Mr A J & Mrs D S Ballington-Graham. Noraisy Ring of Fire in Catua. Another well put together girl of 8 months. Topline & tail are correct, good quality coat. Her head is pleasing with nice dark eye of correct shape, nice muzzle that I am sure will develop well. When moving she is sound and true.

Puppy Bitch – 2 Entries, 0 abs
1st – Mr A J & Mrs D S Ballington-Graham. Noraisy Ring of Fire in Catua. See previous class
2nd – Mrs J & Mr J Whyman & Murray. Tailfly Flamenco. A 9 months spirited girl, shes lively which is always good to see. Good overall shape and size with good angles, tail & topline are good. Head has a nice dark eye and good scissors bite, ear set as expected. When she gets control she moves well and with purpose, true fore and aft.

Junior Bitch – 3 Entries, 1 abs
1st – Miss R J Brown. Skidooshooz Bohemian Soul of Cupun (AI). 9 months, she has good overall proportions and angles giving a nice all-around shape, substance is good and in-line with her size. Coat is harsh to touch. Her head is impressive and balanced, a dark eye of correct shape, ear set as should be, correct bite and strong muzzle. When moving she has sufficient drive and purpose, straight when viewed fore & aft.

Yearling Bitch – 1 Enrty, 0 abs
1st – Mrs K L Jelfs. Lapema Tavola Ouija (SHCM JW). Good proportions and angles, good substance, a correct sloping topline and nice tail set, coat is nice & harsh to the touch. Her head is pleasing with correct bite, strong muzzle nice shaped & sized eyes & ears, her expression is a little hardened by a slightly lighter eye. Moving she is purposeful and controlled, looking sound in all three views.

Limit Bitch – 7 Entries, 3 abs
1st – Miss S Wolfe. Dreamwolves C’EST La Vie. An Excellent example of our breed, she has the size and substance that is asked for. She is well proportioned and very well balanced with a correct harsh coat, correct sloping topline and tail set. Her head whilst very feminine is strong with a powerful muzzle. Correct bite nice dark eye of correct size & shape, ears are set well apart on a broad skull. On the move she displays the drive and effortless action that should be seen, straight & true fore & aft. Shown is very good hard condition. BCC
2nd – Mrs G, Mr K & Miss R Woodhead. Koromandel Rushin Around at Noraisy. A sound girl of good size and substance, she has enough bone. Nice harsh coat, good topline, angles and tail set. Head is typical with that nice soft expression set off by a dark eye of correct shape, muzzle is strong and bite is scissor. She moved soundly and with drive, straight & true when viewed fore & aft.
3rd – Mr R & Mrs N Raby. Candrakanta Moon Child at Icemoon
Res – Mr B & Mrs S Innes. Monikoona Mystique for Icycool

Open Bitch – 6 Entries, 3 abs
1st – Miss Wolfe. Just Got To Love Me Polarni Usvit. A very well balanced girl with good bone, plenty of substance in great hard condition. with correct angles & proportions. Topline & tail are correct, harsh coat in good condition. A very typical strong feminine head, correct eye & ear shape & size skull broad and muzzle strong, correct scissor bite. Showing power and drive in side gait, fore & aft true and straight. Easy on the eye both moving and standing.
2nd – Mrs J E Smith. CH Snowshoes Aurora Borealis (JW SHCM). Overall quite a close call with this one, she is a very nice example of the breed, excellent proportions and well balanced, good bone & substance. Topline, tail and coat are all correct. Her head is pleasing with a soft expression, nice dark eye of correct shape, nice small ears set apart on the skull, powerful muzzle and bite correct. Another good example of a strong but feminine head. Moving she is sound driving with purpose & power.

Veteran Bitch – 4 Entries, 0 abs
1st Mrs S J Loades. CH Snowolf Manhatten Marvel. At 10.5 years she is in excellent condition, has soundness, good substance, correct angles & proportions. A correct harsh coat good topline and tail set. A very well balanced girl. Head is very typical with broad skull, strong muzzle, correct bite and nice dark eyes. Ears are small for head and set apart. When moving she shows real drive & purpose, sound and true. We should never forget that the veterans can often be the best we see in a show ring. This girl is a good example of that fact. RBCC.
2nd – Miss S Wolfe. CH Follow My Dreams Polarni Usvit Via Dreamwolves. Yet another good example of the breed, she has nice size, bone & substance. Sound and in great condition, well muscled . Her head is impressive, strong and feminine, deep strong muzzle with correct bite, correctly shaped dark eye and broad skull. Movement is effortless and driving with power, she could just keep it up all day. strong and true, balanced throughout.
