Bearing in mind the breed was originally listed as not having Challenge Certificates, I was very pleased with the entry, especially when you consider the location and the price of fuel! Entries were, I gather, higher than usual for Border Union and, from the feedback I have had, would have been higher again if more people had been aware that CC’s were on offer. Anyway, the quality was certainly present and this, in my opinion, is far more important than chasing numbers! Thanks to all for making my weekend so enjoyable.

Puppy Dog
1st. Mr. JA & Mrs. SM Finan’s Marahootay Prince of Persia. 10 months old. Good strong head with almond shaped eyes and well set ears. Good size with plenty of bone. Correct sloping topline, moved well when settled. BP.

Junior Dog 
1st. Mrs. L. & Mr. W. Mort’s Arcticbreeze Midnite Hero. 12 months old. Great head and expression with lovely small ears, good eye shape and colour. Strong neck, correct topline, plenty of bone. Moved with drive.
2nd. Mr. I. & Miss A.J. Elliott & Campbell’s Mountain Homes Lead Dog at Packice (Imp USA). 13 months old. Pleasing head. Less bone than 1, good topline, harsh coat. Moved well.

Post Graduate Dog 
1st. Miss A. Coman’s Chayo Fortune Comes to Wintalakes. 20 months old. Lovely strong head with good expression. Plenty of bone, strong front, correct topline, tail ok. Shown in good coat and moved well when settled.
2nd. Mrs. T. & Mr. A. & Miss L. Dolan’s Tuvaurat Valentino. 28 months old. Head ok but needs more time, lovely almond shaped eyes. Good front, correct topline, moved well.

Limit Dog

2nd. Mr. & Mrs. J. Sheehan’s Hawkam Leading the Trail via Amaqqut. 5 years old.Good strong head with lovely expression. Plenty of bone, good front, correct topline and tail. Moved well.

Open Dog 
1st. Ms. S. Ellis’ Ch Chayo All Eyes On Me. 3 years old. Excellent head and expression with correct ear set. Plenty of bone. Correct topline, good length of neck, strong hindquarters and in good coat. Moved with reach and drive. DCC and BoB.
2nd. Mr. J.A. & Mrs S.M. Finan’s Stormchaser Prince of Darkness Mit Marahootay (Imp). 4 years old. Pleasing head and expression, correct topline, plenty of bone and good front. Lovely harsh coat. Moved well.
