Judge's Critiques

MPD (3)
1 Ellis’ Chayo Bit Special, 6 months & well named as he has lots of quality, easily the most co-ordinated mover in the class, promising head, typical expression, enough bone, good basic proportions. Just needs to drop into his rear with maturity. Sympathetically handled to bring out the best in him. BP & later PG1 under Barrie Croft;
2 Lunn & Tanser’s Onivea Amadeus, 6 months, masculine head, ample bone but not the topline or rear of 1 & rather unco-ordinated on the move;

PD (2)
1 Anderton’s Chayo All The Time at Kavara, 9½ months, tall & upstanding, adequate head but needs more under the eyes & ears are still a little soft. Moderate angles. Needs to body up, but very stylish mover;
2 Windley & Taylor’s Kaskae Let’s Get It On, 9 months & whereas 1 was underbodied he had almost too much weight which caused him to roll on the move. Strong head, good bone. Rather weak topline & not as enthusiastic or co-ordinated on the move as 1.

JD (5) 1 Syson’s Icewolf Eyes On The Prize, not the biggest but a really wonderful mover with great power, scope & tail carriage. Quality head but eye rather round. Very well schooled & beautiful to go over with excellent overall construction;
2 Redhead’s Candrakanta Moon River, not earset of 1 or his stunning rear drive, carriage, topline & tail carriage, but he has substance & basic type;

PGD (5)
1 Robb’s Icewolf Max A Million, athletic dog with excellent head, good basic shape with correct angles & an outstanding mover;
2 Cawthera-Purdy’s Chayo Pulling Power at Lireva, taller & more upstanding than 1 but he needs to generally fill out as he is rather narrow in front & the skull needs to broaden. Set up makes a most striking outline & he co-ordinates well on the move. One who needs some time & then could do really well;

LD (5)
1 Wolfe’s Hawkeye Polarni Usvit with Dreamwolves, from the minute he came into the ring he made an impact, well schooled, beautifully conditioned & such a joy to watch on the go around, pleasing head & expression, powerful crested neck, correct topline & optimum angles, moved with reach, powerful rear drive & holding his tail perfectly. Easy CC & BOB, his second I believe & he should be an easy & worthy champion. Put on a sterling performance in the group where Bob Gregory placed him G2 behind the famous Bouvier;
2 Plant & Stanyer’s Catua Dark Side Of The Moon, masculine, well boned & bodied, good head type. Not quite as well coupled as 1 or as correct in tail carriage, but he still moved with some power;

OD (8)
1 Ellis’ Ch Chayo All Eyes On Me, no questioning his sex as he has substance aplenty, strong head, good overall balance & in lovely condition. Not as settled in front or as typical in tail carriage as the CC winner, but won a worthy RCC;
2 Robb’s Int Ch Under Icewolf’s Star Inditarod, the best mover & tail carriage in the class but up against 1 he looked rather feminine & on the stack he tended to lose his topline. On the go around he really impressed;

VD (1)
1 Innes’ Kegluneq National Pride at Icycool, 10 years but really on his toes, well boned. A little narrow in skull. Good angles, well bodied, steady mover.

MPB (4)
1 Ellis’ Chayo Easy On The Eye, 6 months with beautiful head & expression, good front & bone. Could have a little more angulation front & back but co-ordinates well on the move;
2 Sugden & Cameron’s Star Northwest Arctic, 9 months, larger framed bitch, more mature than 1. Not quite the head appeal of 1, but better angulated front & back. Even so she wasn’t as co-ordinated on the move;

PB (3)
1 Marshall’s Kaskae Butterfly Lily, 9 months, very typy, pleasing head, well boned, good overall balance, moved quite fluidly;
2 Stewart’s Lueldar Echo Beach, 10 months, good basic type & moving out well. Not quite the head or topline of 1;

JB (4)
1 Brook’s Snobruk Speechless, 15 months with feminine head, good straight front, well schooled, drives well behind & has quite good tail carriage;
2 Sheehan’s Amaqqut Leading the Pack, 15 months, preferred head & expression of 1. Pleasing outline & tail & sound powerful mover;

PGB (4)
Not a good class.
1 Windley & Taylor’s Kinuk’s Katwalker for Royal Taylor, she had the head, bone, substance & moved out well but is rather short on leg;
2 Dunk’s Lapema Angelo di Armonia for Everheart, leggier & not the head appeal of 1 or her topline, but also moved quite well;

LB (8)
1 Mort’s Arcticbreeze Evening Mist, impressive & substantial bitch of good type, feminine head, typical balance of outline, good driving movement, decent tail;
2 Woodall’s Arcticbreeze Midnite Wispa, lovely overall type but a shade lower on leg & tighter tail carriage than 1. Still makes an impressive overall picture;

OB (10)
A good class.
1 Ellis’ Am Ch Chayo Pure Crystal, high quality bitch beautifully presented & handled, lovely head & expression, nicely crested neck, well filled front, firmly bodied & moderate angulation, when given a long lead & sufficient speed she moved out beautifully & held her outline at all times. Won her first CC but I’m sure not her last;
2 Ellis’ Chayo Blue Velvet, very similar in type & outline to 1, but rather more high maintenance so she gave her handler, who tended to hold her back, a hard time. When allowed to move out on a longer lead she eventually co-ordinated & gave me the picture I felt she was capable of. RCC behind her kennelmate who had a little more behind the tail & held a better topline on the stack;

VB (3)
1 Butler’s Kaytoo Kandi Kandu, 8½ years with feminine head, fit & hard with impressive profile movement. A little loose in front;
2 Wilkinson’s Koldsnap Arctik Krusader, 7 years & carrying more weight than 1 so didn’t quite have her sharpness of outline. On her toes & moved out well;
