I was very pleased to again be given the opportunity to judge this impressive breed. Thanks to all owners and exhibitors for their entries and support. There were many quality examples of the breed on show each having their individual merits. Something for breeders to note is that I found several incorrect mouths of varying degrees. Mouths can sometimes be overlooked while trying to achieve other breed specific points.

1 Cameron’s Sutarka Fire Storm, a well grown and well boned shapely 6 months old youngster. He is attractive and typical in head with pleasing eyes and ears and head shape although having an immature ‘puppy’ look; alert friendly in expression. Well made, true front still to tighten both standing and on the move. Pleasing in bone and body development for age, in ideal puppy body substance and condition with excellent prospects and promise for future development. Good free confident movement albeit in typical puppy style.

PD (2) The two youngsters in this class are of similar age, shape, stage of development and type.
1 Brown’s Deffender Of Future Z Snieznej Doliny Icetrax (Imp) a well-developed and well boned 11-month-old who is particularly attractive in side profile both standing and in side gait. Handsome and typical in head shape with alert, responsive ears and friendly expression which I just preferred to 2nd. Very well balanced in profile having a powerful appearance. Sturdy and strong in body having good length in proportion to height. True, parallel, well boned front which is tighter and more together than 2nd. He has a quality look and is particularly pleasing in overall construction and naturally stands ‘four-square’ and moves with a positive, true, powerful action. Best Puppy in Breed.
2 Brown’s Icetrax Scirocco another shapely well grown young male of 11 months of age. Typical, strong and masculine in head. Very similar in side profile shape to 1st and similar positive comments apply. I would prefer him to be tighter in front when standing and tidier in front on the move which should improve with maturity. He is well boned and bodied and in good developing coat and condition and has a very promising future. Balanced in angulations front and hindquarters. Moved freely just needs to be more settled.

1 Smith & Smith’s Mlt Ivram Bradliey Your The One At Snowshoes (Imp) an impressive 2½ year old quality male who is definitely coming into his prime. He is powerfully built, being well boned, sturdy and firm in body. Super masculine, typically shaped head with a balanced well-proportioned commanding profile viewed from the side and breed typical and powerful viewed front on. Confident and friendly in expression. He has substance, is well bodied and is soundly constructed all through. True, well boned front, good width and pleasing fore-chest with moderate angles front and rear. Strong, nicely let down hindquarters; stands firm. He moved freely and purposefully with a free, easy stride, positive in front with strong and energetic rear drive. My Dog CC and Best of Breed winner and later shortlisted in the Working Group.
2 Dolan & Dolan’s Muzoku Take Me With U To Siskara a very well made 13 month old male having a head shape and expression I liked. Powerfully constructed in forequarters and true front which I just preferred to 3rd. Strong in neck and neck length totally in proportion to his overall appearance. Well boned front and pleasing pasterns though could be tighter both standing and on the move. He has substance in body with spring and decent depth and tight elbows. Satisfying in body length and top-line and he has enough length of leg to compliment his overall side profile. Positive, purposeful, free and easy movement just needing to steady in front.

1 Jelfs’ Lapema Garota Rude JW super well made 22 month old strongly constructed male all in proportion and balance. Attractive and breed typical in head shape, proportion and expression. Substantial in body with true well boned parallel front with good lay-back and strong moderately let down hindquarters which were also strong firm and of ideal width. Moved easily the best of this class. Impressed in overall proportions and profile both standing and moving.

1 Forsey & Louch’s Cristakell April Moon Over Muzoku an upstanding, well developed 2 year old male who has stature and substance being well boned and having strength of body. Handsome in head with attractive expression and good ears, firm erect and nicely set apart just preferred to 2nd; strong neck of pleasing length and set. Masculine, powerful look with pleasing construction in front, forequarters and body with well-developed hindquarters. Thick coated which was typical in density and texture. Moved with a purposeful easy stride with particularly good side gait and rear action.
2 Blaney’s Viking Fenrir Kin Of Kiyara’s Wolf Pak (Imp) a sizeable 4 year old male who is well boned and has substance of body. Masculine in head but preferred strength of muzzle and under eye of 1st. Pleasing overall length of body and leg. Balanced in angulations front and rear. Moved with a free driving side gait but needing to settle in front action.

1 Brown’s O’ Kinastar Fire Me Up Sh.CM a very smart quality 3½ year old male possessing a mature, strong powerful appearance. Very distinct masculine, typically shaped head with a balanced well-proportioned side view. Heavily boned, upstanding and is a mature male in commendable coat and firm condition. Soundly constructed all through with a true well boned front. A male who has substance, is well made and well bodied. Powerful moderately let down hindquarters. Balanced and all in proportion. Easy, free movement, purposeful with drive having a more precise front action than others in this class.
2 John’s Cristakell April Solstice a 2 year old of powerful, well-constructed male having a smart quality appearance. He has a strong powerful but ‘all male’ look and has sound, breed typical characteristics all through. Particularly attractive head and expression set on a strong neck of good length. True, well boned strong front and forequarters with ideal substance in body and width all through; just preferred the steadier front movement of 1st. Needs to stand out over the ground to show to his best advantage. Strong, sturdy moderate hindquarters. Free and easy movement with purposeful side gait.

OD (8,2)
1 Ellis’ Chayo Formula One an upstanding super quality 3 year old male of imposing appearance. He has an eye-catching side profile which is in balance and is complimented by his overall sound construction. Pleasing appearance both standing and in side gait. He has a strong, masculine head with a determined but friendly expression which I just preferred to 2nd. In mature coat and firm condition being soundly constructed in front, well-muscled and sturdy in body with powerful hindquarters. Moved well and effortlessly with particularly impressive driving hind action. Close competition in the dog challenge but edged out to Reserve Dog CC.
2 Dolan & Dolan’s Siskara The Spy Who Loved Me JW Sh.CM a well-constructed 4 year-old powerful looking mature male. He is breed typical in head shape and proportions; head set well onto strong well shaped neck and muscular forequarters. He has firm substance of body which is of ideal proportion length to height. Thick coated with dense undercoat. True well boned parallel front of pleasing width. Strong soundly let down hindquarters which were also strong and stable. Moved with a free easy gait but a little loose in front action.

1 Ellis’ Chayo One Moment In Time a very well grown 7 month old extremely promising young bitch. She has desirable bone and body and possesses all the basic structural attributes to develop into an exciting adult. Already she looks to be sturdy and typy but still retaining her feminine qualities. Attractive head both in shape and expression. Sound in front and although needing to mature and firm up in shape she has desirable body substance and has pleasing proportions length/height and has balance in angulations front and rear. Moved well with sound confidence. Best Bitch Puppy.
2 Brown’s Icetrax Cleopatra a very smart quality 9 months. She is attractive and when you get your hands on her you realise she is well made. She has desirable breed characteristics from an attractive typically shaped head and expression to having a well-made body with pleasing overall proportion and balance. Needs to have more confidence to give of her best. Moved well enough though was unsure. Plenty of quality and promise and potential to develop.

1 Smith’s Snowshoes Spirit Of Sakari a smart 12 months old well developed shapely bitch who is typical in appearance and has a very attractive profile. Lovely head with dark correctly shaped eyes producing a pleasing expression. Still young and needing the mature coat to become the finished article. She is well boned and well bodied and, although sturdy and having a look of substance, she is obviously feminine. Sound front and feet, firm in body substance and having a pleasing firm, well defined top line. Excellent proportions length/height and is balance in angulations front and rear. Moved well with sound confidence and moved the best of this class.
2 Dolan & Dolan’s Muzoku U Got The Look For Siskara a very nice quality 12 month old sturdy but feminine young bitch. Impressive in profile, breed type and construction and has the thick coat and condition that enhances her qualities. She is well boned and has pleasing development of body which is all in proportion and balance and gives the appearance of strength and power without loss of femininity. Let herself down by not being settled either while standing or on the move.

1 Brown’s Its A Kinda Dream Icetrax very pleasing shape and sized nearly 2 year old well developed bitch who is typical in appearance and has a very attractive profile. She is well boned and well bodied and although having substance and a sturdy appearance, she retains her feminine qualities. Sound, true, well boned front, pleasing body cover with a firm back and strong loin. She has desirable proportions length/height and is balanced in angulations front and rear. Moved well and free with settled confidence.

1 Wolfe’s Dreamwolves Cest La Vie a well-made substantial rising 3 year old bitch that has an attractive overall profile which would be all the better with a fuller coat. Attractive and breed typical, she has a feminine head which is set well onto her powerful neck and forequarters. Strongly made in body with good spring and being ribbed well back. She is nicely constructed and has good height/length proportions and is balanced in profile with sound firm hindquarters though could have more bend of stifle. She has a shapely body which I preferred to the more matronly look of 2nd. The better mover of this class.
2 Hughes’ Icetrax Shykiss I Kick Azz a heavily bodied rising 3 year old mature looking bitch. Pleasing head both in shape and expression. Sturdy in forequarters and body and tended to lose her underline and look short on the leg. Movement needs to settle.

1 John’s Cristakell April Showers At Chardicea a quality 2 year old bitch of impressive appearance in side profile both while standing and on the move. Attractive profile which is balanced all in proportion and conveys her sound conformation. She has a lovely head and expression which I just preferred to 2nd. She is soundly constructed in front, well-muscled and well bodied with strong muscular hindquarters and enough coat covering. Moved well and effortlessly and looked the better for getting her tail up while moving around the ring.
2 Wolfe’s Just Got To Love Me Polarni Usvit a smart 3½ year old well developed youthful looking bitch who is typical in appearance and has a very clean-cut attractive profile but lacking furnishings to her detriment. She is typical in head and expression and is well boned and is sturdy having substance all through. Sound front, firm in body and having an ok top line. Satisfying proportions length/height and good balance with moderate angulations front and rear. Moved with a free stride and good action front and rear.

1 Vasarhelyi’s Kaskae Counting Snowflakes a strong, powerful looking 4½ year old mature bitch who possesses breed qualities and characteristics giving the appearance that she could easily carry out the breed function. She is impressive and has an imposing ring presence. Although feminine she has a strong powerful head of desirable shape and is assured in expression. Well-developed strong neck, front and forequarters set on to a well-made substantial body which has spring of rib, depth and is ribbed well back to a good length firm loin. Sound and stable both in front and hindquarters. All together she presents an unmissable presence among the others in the ring. She continued to impress on the move with her sound straight forward powerful front action and strong driving rear action. My Bitch CC winner.
2 Smith’s Ch Snowshoes Aurora Borealis JW Sh CM a very smart nearly 3 year old bitch who has a clean cut, well furred appearance. Her super make and shape and overall excellent conformation is evident and cannot be denied. A thicker good length coat would be ‘the icing on the cake’. Lovely head, eye and expression, head set well onto a strong neck of pleasing length and shape. Sound and true in front, balanced moderate angulation front and rear combined with pleasing overall proportions. Powerful and strong in appearance. Free, active easy movement but not as precise as 1st. Reserve Bitch CC.
3 Rodger & Wheeler’s Northspirit A Star Is Born an attractive quality bitch of similar age to 2nd and who stands well and projects a very breed typical well balanced picture. Close up to 2nd.

1 Wilkinson’s Ch Koldsnap Aprilia Mille, an obviously well-constructed 7-year-old mature bitch who has maintained her firm substance and sturdy, powerful appearance. Breed typical, strong though feminine in head and having a friendly amenable expression. True well boned front, sturdy body and pleasing balance in angles front/rear. Commendable coat and condition. Moved with purpose and freedom of action; looked good in side gait.
2 Roper’s Tokosha Siku a shapely 8 and a half year old having a slightly more racy look than 1st. Strong head both in make, shape and expression. True enough front although tended to stand wide at times. Would like more fore-chest and more coat covering to complete the picture. Pleasing in overall length and angulation front and rear. Free and easy enough on the move.
