I would like to thank the AMCUK committee for inviting me to judge your Diamond Jubilee June speciality. I was excited to receive the judging opportunity and the quality of the dogs did not disappoint. Thank you to the show manager and stewards for making my second judging assignment in the UK a delight. Furthermore I would like to express my appreciation to all the exhibitors who took my judgements with good grace. A special thanks goes to the puppy exhibitors whom, for some, this was their first experience in the ring of their aspiring show careers.

Baby Puppy dog/bitch – I understand this is the first time this class has been offered at a CC show but sadly no puppies were of age to compete on the day.

MPD 6 entries/1a – Pleasing youngsters, on a different occasion the top 3 could of swapped places.
1st: Alexander’s Okinastar Powerful Legacy. Lovely Seal & White male, a little over 6 months old, masculine head, good scissor bite, dark almond eye and correct ear set. Front assembly, strong back and correct tail carriage. Powerful movement when he wasn’t distracted. Length of leg to body ratio correct for age. Promising youngster. RBPISS.
2nd: Wolfe’s Souvenir of Sitka’s unfinished business avec Dreamwolves NAF TAF. Another promising young male, with a strong wedge head, almond eye and thick well furred ears. Good bone proportionate for age. Nice coat, correct texture.
3rd: Forsey’s Muzoku One Stop Beyond. Similar in attributes to 1 & 2 but was not as settled on the move.

PD 3 entries/1a
1st: Alexander’s Okinastar Power Legacy. – see 1st MPD.
2nd: Holt’s BreconFrost He’s Magical (ai) – dark almond eye, scissor bite, correct wedge head. Good bone, with a nice snowshoe foot.

JD 3 entries/1a
1st: Holt’s BreconFrost He’s Magical (ai) – see 2nd PD.
2nd: Hooley’s Black Stripe at Dokkalfar. Lovely wedge head, almond eye, well furred ear, neck flowed nicely into top line and correct tail set & carriage. Would of preferred a harsher coat.

YD 1 entry
1st: Loades’ Snowolf Blackpowder Charge. Balanced, muscular, not an over done dog with good bone and a solid top line. Correct wedge head with a dark eye, strong muzzle, well placed ears. Finishing with a correct waving plume tail. Foot timing on this dog was a pleasure to watch.

LD 7 entries/1a
1st: Innes’ Icycool Hudson Bay (ai). Solid working dog, balanced, great foot timing. Great both on the down & back as well as the side gait. Masculine wedge head, almond eye, small well furred ears, excellent dark pigment. Beautifully presented and handled well.
2nd: Phoenix’s Snow Legend Zenith of Flame Nordicwinds JW (imp RUS). Another strong dog, similar attributes to class winner. Long cast and strong bend of stifle.
3rd: Hughes’ Casiat Giro d’Italia to Ukluk. Workman like dog. Uneasy on the move which thus impeded overall judgement.

OD 9 entries/1a – Strongest Male class of the day with a line up of dogs that I felt could really function as sled dogs.
1st: Page’s CH Snow legend Believe in You Cedarcreek JW (imp RUS). Impressive shape and form, really comes together the more he moved. Foot timing was exceptional. From head to tail screamed breed type. This dog gave his handler a hard time due to lots of female distractions in and around the ring. That being said, every time he moved he demanded attention. It was my pleasure to award this incredible male the DCC, RBIS & BOS. Huge congratulations.
2nd: Keeling’s IR CH Kishdigra Smooth Operator. Very striking Red male, with correct coat texture, similar attributes to my 1st placed dog. However, preferred shoulder angulation & conditioning on class winner.
3rd: Walker’s Lueldar Here Comes the Son. Seal & White male, promising youngster for an open class. Masculine head, deep muzzle, dark pigment, dark almond eye, well placed & well furred ears. Great tail set, lovely bone & feet.

VD (7+ years) 5 entries/1a – Throughout the Veteran dog class I was happy to see strong movement on the down/back and side gait.
1st: Loades’ CH Snowolf Black Ice Buddy. Seal & White male, 9 years old, beautiful condition. From his clean large teeth with a scissor bite to the correct length of his waving plume tail. I was impressed with this solid veteran. It was my pleasure to award him the RDCC & BVISS. Delighted to hear that I had awarded him BPIB 9 years ago at my last judging assignment in the UK.
2nd: Wolfe’s Sutarka Fire Storm. Another Strong, solid veteran, lovely wedge head, strong neck following into correct shoulder placement. Solid top line on the move.
3rd: Woodhead’s Noraisy Take My Breath Away JW. Similar attributes to the 1 & 2 but preferred the conditioning on class winner and second placed dog.

MPB 7 entries/1a
1st: Patrick & Ashman’s Okinastar Destiny Calling at Coldasice NAF TAF.
Lovely outline, promising puppy bitch. Good bone and feet for age. Slightly reserved in temperament at first but once settled she came out of her shell. Moves cleanly with correct reach and drive.
2nd: Hooley’s Batkennel Magic Soho. Very typey bitch, similar to class winner, moves well, once she settled. Pretty feminine wedge head.
3rd: Hughes’ Arctictribes Strange Magic. An appealing young bitch, slightly bum high today. Good front.

PB 6 entries/2a
1st: Keeling’s Kishdigra For the Love of a Criminal. Lovely Feminine wedge head, pleasing expression, with a dark almond eye, dark pigmentation. Correctly placed ears, strong neck flowing into well placed shoulders. Correct coat texture, good feet and bone. Correct tail set. Very promising puppy. It was my pleasure to award her BPISS.
2nd: Patrick & Ashman’s – see 1st in MPB
3rd: Holt’s BreconFrost She’s Mystical. Solid youngster with a lovely temperament.

JB 5 entries/1a
1st: Sheehan’s Powerhound’s Sparks Will Fly at Amaqqut (imp USA). Feminine young girl, with lovely pigmentation, dark almond eye, thick well furred ears, slightly low set, correct scissor bite. Correct bone and feet. Moves easily on the side, slightly loose in movement coming towards, due to age. Despite the lack of coat, it was my pleasure to award her BJISS.
2nd: Burnside’s Liberty Deadly Sins with Integrity RAF. Nice young female, foot timing was good for age, lovely overall outline but today beaten by a better overall package. Would like to see her once she has matured.
3rd: Darlow’s Juneau’s Bright Future For Iceclimb (imp DNK). Another promising young girl, with similar attributes to 1 & 2. Just today wan’t settled on the move which impacted on her placement.

YB 1 entry
1st: Zettin’s Mazurstar Mamba Berry. This young feminine girl captivated me as soon as she walked into my ring! Beautifully presented and handled. Before I even had my hands on her, I could see her balance front and rear, with correct body proportions. Exceptional wedged head with lovely dark pigmentation, nice tight lips over a correct scissor bite. Dark almond eye, well set thick furred ears, Strong neck into moderately angled shoulders. Conditioning on this bitch was top notch. Well set plumed tail. Correct bone and large compact snow shoe feet. Movement on this bitch was outstanding, foot timing was spot on, top line was solid. Exactly as the breed standard describes. I was thrilled to award her the BCC & BISS. Huge Congratulations. I believe this was her 3rd CC and now a UK Champion.

LB 4 entries/2a
1st: Robb’s Icewolf Fendi L’Aquarossa. Nice harsh coat, good shoulder placement, correct tail set and carriage. Dark eye, slightly rounder than I would prefer. Movement was ok, think the heat did effected her performance.
2nd: John’s Chardicea Devon Mist. Busy girl and didn’t want to settle, which effected my ability to access her attributes. Good bite, almond eye, well furred ears. Moved well & balanced.

OB 13 entries/7a
1st: Walker’s SLO CH Lueldar Got Something To Say To You. Seal & White bitch, very eye catching, does not relent in her showmanship. Attractive wedge head, dark pigmentation, neck flows into well placed shoulders. She is slightly longer in loin, but holds her top line. Correct tail set and carriage. Moves well on the side, slightly close in the rear moving away. RBCC
2nd: Keeling’s IR CH Kishdigra The Criminals Kiss. Striking red bitch, beautifully proportioned wedge head, strong well furred ears. Good bone and substance, correct front & rear angulation. On this occasion I prefer the conditioning of my class winner.
3rd: Robb’s Icewolf Jupiter Rising. Similar attributes as 1 & 2 in this strong open bitch class. Sadly came up against these other two bitches today.

VB (7+ years) 6 entries/1a – I was delighted by the condition of these wonderful veterans, who could give the youngster in the breed a run for their money.
1st: John’s Cristakell April Showers at Chardicea. Lovely 9 year old bitch, great breed type, solid mover, which impressed. Great condition for age.
2nd: Edwards & Molloy’s BEL CH Wintablizard’s Gin Lover (ai). Another lovely girl, this was a close call, just preferred movement on class winner.
3rd: Woodhead’s Koromandel Rushin Around at Noraisy. Great girl, similar attributes to 1 & 2, slightly lighter eye.

SVB (10+ years) 4 entries/1a
1st: Page & Horsman-Phoenix’s CH Shakira Northwest Arctic. This was delightful surprise of veteran bitches, she moved with style & excellent foot timing. Her condition for her age was impeccable. A veteran bitch which youngsters in the breed should aspire to age like. A class act but sadly came up against a strong veteran dog today, but was awarded Best Veteran bitch.
2nd: Wadrup’s CH Just got to love me Polar Usvit. Another great veteran, who also was in great condition for age, but sadly came up against class winner today.
3rd: Woodhead’s Koromandel Rushin Around at Noraisy – see 3rd VB (7+years).
