Minor Puppy Dog (3,1)
1st Mr ARMENTI Albakiara Sante’e Stupendo. Nice deep muzzle, dark almond eye and thick ear cartilage with proper set. He will grow into the size. Correct front with good bone. Level topline, chest to elbow, correct coat texture. Movement was good for a young puppy.
2nd Misses EJ DZIERGAS & KL ASHWORTH James Bond Illa Kuvianartok at Nunataq (Imp POL). Good depth of muzzle with a little more stop than I prefer, correct ear set. Chest to the elbow, correct level topline and a perfect tail set and length. Nice rear angulation. He was sidewinding when gaiting so I was not able to determine correct foot pattern.

Puppy Dog (4,1)
1st Mrs SL ELLIS-PAYNE Chayo Spellbinder. Good depth of muzzle but lips are not tight. Correct bite, dark pigment and correct almond eye; nice length of neck, long ribcage and short loin with lovely tail. Good snowshoe feet and all movement down and back and around was correct.
2nd Mr I PULLIN & Miss K MOUNTSTEPHENS. Whitewalker Winter Flight. Pleasing head with all dark pigment and scissors bite. Although the loin was longer than I prefer he still had a solid level topline standing and moving. Down and back was excellent as was his side gait. Coat was short but it had the correct texture.
3rd Mrs LA & Mr SR BARTLETT Articrainbow Santa Paws. Pleasing head with nice thick ear cartilage, level bite. Excellent coat texture, large tight feet, good angulation front and rear but did not extend when moving. No power.

Junior Dog (7,2)
1st Mrs S BRANDENBURG & Miss S SMITH Chayo It’s Kurt for Taronakits. Lovely outline with nice arch and length of neck. All dark pigment, scissors bite, excellent topline and beautiful coat. Movement coming and going and from the side were all correct. Loved his big snowshoe feet.
2nd Mr B & Mrs S INNES. Icycool Hudson Bay (ai). Pleasing head with all dark pigment, good topline and beautiful tail. Coat was short but good texture, nice angulation and he used it well.
3rd Z LOHVIN King Of The Ring Snow Kids [ATC POL] Beautiful masculine head, level bite. Lovely neck and topline ending in a huge plume tail. Excellent coat texture. Unfortunately he did not use his angulation so the gait appeared stilted. I would suggest roadwork up and down hills.

Yearling Dog (3,1)
1st Mr J HORSMAN & Mrs J HORSMAN-PHOENIX Nordicwinds Grtest Showman JW. Good depth of muzzle, scissors bite, almond shaped eye and correct ear set. Long ribcage and short loin made an excellent topline ending in a beautiful plume tail. Correct movement down and back and from the side.
2nd Ms L HOLT Freezefactor Savvy Affair at Breconfrost. Nice dark pigment and deep muzzle but with more than a slight stop. Good arch of neck, good topline, correct tailset but a bit short. Good coat texture; lots of rear angulation but he used it well. Down and back and side gait was correct.

Mid Limit Dog (4,1)
1st Mr A & Mrs D LUNN Nordicwinds Jazz Singer. A very pleasing head with nice thick ear leather; Good bone and feet; nice neck length and level topline ending in a lovely plume tail. Movement good down and back and from the side.
2nd Ms L HOLT Freezefactor Savvy Affair at Breconfrost. As 2nd Yearling Dog
3rd Miss C BOWDEN & Mr MR & Mrs KL HUGHES Makalu Mountain Legacy at Staggan. 3. Nice dark pigment, good length of neck, level topline; Well laid back upper arm and medium bone, flat feet, good coat texture.

Limit Dog (10,2)
1st Miss S WOLFE Sutarka Fire Storm. Lovely head, deep muzzle, tight lips, slight stop even though the markings give the illusion of more. Dark almond eye, thick ear leather, good length of neck including a dewlap which the breed is losing and a correct level topline. Good bone and feet. Gait; This is where this dog excelled. Down and back was flawless and sidegait was powerful with perfect foot timing and the hock extending on the ground.
2nd Mr J HORSMAN & Mrs J HORSMAN-PHOENIX Snow Legend Zenith Of Fame Nordicwinds (Imp RUS). Pleasing head, correct stop, black pigment, nice long neck with crest. Level topline, short loin, nice tail, chest to the elbow. Moved well down and back and from the side.
3rd Mrs NA BROUARD Orsamals Pepe Le Peew (GKC). Moderate stop, dark pigment, nice length of neck and good topline with a lovely plume tail. I would prefer larger feet. Down and back was ok but would like to see a stronger side gait.

Open Dog (9,2)
1st Mrs SL ELLIS-PAYNE Ch Chayo Cause Celebre. This dog caught my attention as he walked in the ring with his beautiful standoff coat, perfect tail and pleasing head. Lovely length of neck, good depth of chest and a correct level topline produced by a long rib cage and short loin. His down and back was perfect and his sidegait strong with full extension of the front and rear but with no wasted motion.
2nd Miss G KEELING Kishdigra Smooth Operator [ATC IKC]. Another beautiful moving dog coming and going and from the side. Excellent muzzle and tight lipline, almond eye and probably as dark as you can get on a red dog. Slight stop, good earset. Solid topline and lovely plume tail. Correct moderate angulation and nice feet.
3rd Mr P & Mrs M PAGE Ch Snow Legend Believe In You Cedarcreek JW (Imp RUS). Pleasing head, dark almond eye, tight lip line, good ear set. Nice length of neck blending into a good topline with short loin. Good tailset, length and plume. Gait was correct coming and going and from the side.

1st Mrs A NEVINSON Ch Chayo Golden Touch ShCM. What a lovely veteran! Beautiful coat, correct head, excellent bone, solid topline and plume tail. Chest to the elbow, good bone and pasterns. Moved well down and back and around.
2nd Mr J & Mrs J SHEEHAN Ch Cedarcreek Frozen River. Another beautiful head; deep muzzle with tight lips, small dark almond eye and correct thick ears. Good bone and feet; level topline with short loin and correct tail carriage. Gait was good down and back and around.
3rd Mr I PULLIN & Miss K MOUNTSTEPHENS Ch Inupiat’s Qulit Henrik at Whitewalker (Imp NOR). Pleasing head, loved the length of neck; level topline finishing with a beautiful plume tail. Good rear angulation. Would like a larger foot. Gait was excellent down and back and from the side.

Special Veteran Dog – 10 Years+ (6,1)
1st Miss SP THOMPSON Ch Libertia In The Red Again at Shomont. A lovely red boy with a beautiful head. Pigment about as dark as one can get on a red dog as red is a dilute color in our breed. Level topline with a short loin and correct tail set. Correct moderate angulation. Down and back perfect and still good going around.
2nd Mrs M BUTLER Kaytoo Antarctic Kuma. Another Veteran in really good condition. Excellent topline due to a long ribcage and short loin; chest to the elbow; medium bone but correct large feet with well arched toes. We call those snowshoe feet because they help stay on top of the snow. Gait was clean down and back and used his angulation going around.
3rd Miss S WOLFE Ch Hawkeye Polarni Usvit VW (Imp CZE). This veteran’s coat was in excellent condition. Nice neck with a solid topline and plume tail. Chest to the elbow, good bone and feet. Short deep muzzle with some flews showing and some stop. Gait was good down and back with moderate extension going around.

Minor Puppy Bitch (2,0)
1st Miss J MARSHALL Pameiyut J’aime La Vie (imp NLD). Lovely black pigment, dark eye, excellent ear set and thick leather. Great topline with long ribcage and short loin, chest already to the elbow; good angulation; well arched toes. Moved well down, back and around.
2nd Mr ARMENTI Albakiara Dalia Donarosa. Pleasing head, scissor bite, good bone; a little high in rear but will likely level out as she matures. Excellent length and layback of upper arm. Moved well down and back and from the side.

Puppy Bitch (4,1)
1st Mr A & Mrs L BURGESS Tolketna Top Of The World to Mountainglen. A very pretty, feminine head, nice muzzle, correct lipline, scissors bite, slight stop, dark eye. Excellent topline produced by a long ribcage and short loin finishing with a nice plume tail that reaches the hock. Gait was excellent down, back and from the side
2nd Mr I PULLIN & Miss K MOUNTSTEPHENS Whitewalker Winter’s Gold. Another nice puppy who used her good angulation to advantage. Attractive head, scissors bite. Good length of neck and arch. Topline not as solid as I would like but that can improve with age and exercise. Moved correctly down and back and from the side.
3rd Mrs T & Mr E FORSEY Muzoku Crazy L’il Devil. Lovely dark pigment and almond eye, good length of neck with crest. Coat was flat but good texture; correct tail carriage, medium bone and lots of rear angulation. Moved correctly down, back and from the side.

Junior Bitch (7,2)
1st Mrs JE & Miss J SMITH Snowshoes Indiana. This is a striking young female. Great depth of muzzle, tight lips, dark almond eye and thick ear leather. Nice long neck, flowing into a good topline and ending in a beautiful plume tail. Chest to the elbow; balanced angulation which produced excellent gait down, back and from the side.
2nd Mrs NA BROUARD Orsamals Cest Mpoi Fifi (GKC) Pleasing profile, good length of neck and excellent level topline and plume tail. Coarse coat texture, correct medium angulation front and rear which produced excellent movement, down. back and from the side.
3rd Mrs S & Miss L PERFITT Samjoe From Russia With Love JW. Lovely head, dark pigment, deep muzzle, slight stop, thick ear leather with correct ear set, nice length of neck but slightly long in body. Good depth of chest, medium bone. Moved well down, back and from the side

1st Mr P & Mrs M PAGE Snow Legend Zest For Life Cedarcreek (imp RUS). Nice head, deep muzzle with slight stop, dark pigment, scissors bite, thick ear leather; nice length of neck, level topline with long ribcage and short loin. Good bone and excellent feet. Gait was correct down,back and from the side.
2nd P QUINN Artic Challenge Last Faith by Marchosias (imp POL). Pleasing head, nice arch and length of neck; level topline and beautiful plume tail. Matching front and rear angulation, good bone. Would like bigger feet. Moved well down, back and from the side.
3rd Mrs A WILSON Kurjak As Nana at Arctictundra (imp SRB). Nice dark pigment, tight lip line, slight correct stop, light eye, nice thick ear leather; topline was level in spite of a longer loin, beautiful plume tail. Movement was correct down, back and from the side.

Post Grad Bitch (8,3)
1st Miss G KEELING Kishdigra The Criminal Kiss. Beautiful correct head, lovely long neck with arch blending into a solid topline and ending with a plume tail. Chest to the elbow, medium bone. Excellent side gait and correct down and back.
2nd Mrs S & Miss L PERFITT Samjoe’s The One And Only. Lovely correct head with dark pigment, dark almond eye and nice thick ear leather. Nice length of neck with arch and solid topline and plume tail. Medium bone and I’d like to see larger feet. Gait was excellent down, back and side.
3rd Mrs KE COPLEY-HOLLAND Katabatics Adair’N’Hug It’s Me You’re Looking For (imp USA). Nice dark eye and lovely thick correctly set ears. Some stop, good length of neck, level topline in spite of a longer loin, lovely plume tail. Chest to the elbow, medium bone. Moved well down, back and from the side.

1st Mrs J WARWICK First Lady with Tolketna (imp). Muzzle broad and deep with slight stop and correct ear set; nice bone and feet, good topline, deep chest. Gait was excellent down, back and from the side.
2nd Mrs S & Miss L PERFITT Samjoe’s The One And Only. As Post Graduate.
3rd Mr J HORSMAN & Mrs J HORSMAN-PHOENIX Nordicwinds Miss Marvel. I would like to see a broader muzzle and tighter flews. Excellent slight stop, dark eye, good ear set, scissors bite. Nice length of neck, good topline and depth of chest, medium bone and feet. Excellent down, back and from the side

2nd Miss L AITCHISON & Mr S HURST Kaskae My Wonderwall. Pleasing head, nice deep muzzle, scissors bite; nice length of neck and level topline with beautiful plume tail. Coat short but good texture. Excellent movement down, back and side.
3rd Mr P & Mrs M PAGE The Magician Bloody Mary Cedarcreek (imp ITA). Pleasing head, tight lips, slight stop, good ear set, all dark pigment; nice neck blending into a level topline with short loin and lovely plume tail. Movement: medium reach and rear lacked full extension of the hock.

Open Bitch (11,3)
1st Mrs T & Mr E FORSEY Muzoku You’re My Obsession. Loved the overall picture of this feminine girl. From the side; deep muzzle, tight lips, slight stop; great length of neck blending into a solid topline with short loin and ending in a lovely plumed tail. From the front, good muzzle, scissors bite, dark eye and thick ears correctly set. Her gait was flawless!
2nd Mr B & Mrs S INNES Icycool Oriana. Excellent depth of muzzle and tight lips, scissors bite, some stop and good ear set. Nice topline, plume tail but short; Good bone and depth of chest but would like larger feet. Gait down and from the side was excellent.
3rd Mrs SL ELLIS-PAYNE Ch Chayo Vasilisa. Lovely broad muzzle but some loose flews, correct slight stop, nice thick ear leather, correct set. Good length of neck and level topline even with a longer loin; excellent tail, good bone and nice large feet. Gait was very good, down, back and side.

Veteran Bitch (7,2)
1st Mrs NA BROUARD Dreamwolves J’Adore at Orsamals PDH. Good depth of muzzle, some stop, but great thick ear leather; these ears would never freeze! Scissors bite, excellent bone and snowshoe feet, deep chest, short loin, good tail. Down and back was excellent and good from the side. Short coat but correct texture.
2nd Mrs D JARVIS & Mrs S TROISI Nordicwinds All Attitude. Very pretty girl, tight lips, correct slight stop, thick ear cartilage, dark almond eye, nice neck, length and arch. Level topline, short tail. Gait was good down and back and from the side.
3rd Mr A & Mrs L BURGESS Cedarcreek Forever Young at Mountainglen. I loved this female’s deep muzzle, tight lips, slanted eyes and thick ear leather. She had a noticeable dewlap which the breed is losing. Good depth of chest and nice bone and feet. I would like to see a shorter loin and longer tail. Foot timing was correct when gaiting.

Special Veteran Bitch – 10 Years+ (10,2)
1st Mr R & Mrs N RABY Candrakanta Moon Child at Icemoon. Very attractive head with dark almond eye, slight stop and correct thick ears. Nice long neck with arch, level topline with short loin ending in a beautiful plume tail. Good bone and feet and still up on her pasterns. Foot timing was perfect coming and going and she could still move out going around.
2nd Miss N BENTON-BROWNE Icycool Mystique at Nukilik. Pleasing head would like a darker eye; excellent front angulation, topline was good when moving but slack when standing, plume tail and good feet. Gait was good. Please do not trim the underline. A trimmed coat will collect moisture and freeze.
3rd Mrs J WHYMAN & Mr J MURRAY Tailfly Rainbow Ribbons. Pleasing head, dark eye, thick ear leather, correct stand-off coat, good topline with short loin, good depth of chest, medium bone and down in pastern which is not unusual as they get older. Correct foot placement down and back and from the side.

RESCUE STAKES
My sincere thanks to the committee for the invitation to judge their Special Stakes Classes at this show. Thank you to the exhibitors for allowing me the honour of going over your dogs. I found temperaments to be exceptional in all exhibits. Coats varied greatly but being September this was to be expected. Dentition was good as was eye colour in the majority of exhibits. Top lines were varied and we need to be mindful not to promote the level topline. I found the majority of exhibits displayed were adequately heavily boned and leg length.

Special Rescue Stakes Junior Dog (5, 1 abs)
1st – Horsman & Horsman-Phoenix Mr J & Mrs J – Snow Legend Zenith Of Fame – presented a good outline on the stand, slightly sloping top line. Heavily boned. Head broad but still to mature. Ears wide set, small in shape and correct triangular shape. Nice dark almond eye, obliquely set. Moved with ease, displaying powerful drive.
2nd – Holt, Ms L – Freezefactor Savvy Affair At Breconfrost – another nicely shaped boy. Strong masculine head ears and eyes correct shape and set. Strong neck leading into a sloping top line. Tail set moderately high. Moved well with power and drive.
3rd – Druse, Miss K & Miss C – Kaskae He’ll Of A View – very much a baby but still and lots to like. Good leg length but still loose on the move.

Special Rescue Stakes Junior Bitch (5, 1 abs)
1st – Brouard, Mrs N A – Orsamals Cersei Moi Fiji (Imp Gks) – lovely strong body shape on this girl with good heavy bone. Gently sloping top line leading into good tail set, carried well on the move. Head maturing well, eyes nice almond shape and set obliquely. Ear correct shape, size and set. Moved with ease but still displaying power.
2nd – Perfitt, Mrs S & Miss L – Samjoe From Russia With Love JW – pretty feminine girl but not too fine still displaying a broad skull. Eyes and ears correct and displaying a cheeky expression. Smaller than 1 but not too compact as to deter from purpose. Moved well when settled.
3rd – Pullin & Mountstephens, Mr I & Miss K – Whitewalker Winter’s Gold – nice head, eyes and ears correct. Body a bit longer than I would prefer which impacted on movement today. Ok for bone.

Special Rescue Stakes Open Dog (7, 1 abs)
1st – Wolfe, Miss S- Sutarka Fire Storm – stunning boy. Great strong body heavily boned. Deep and strong chest, straight front, moderately sloping shoulders leading into a slightly sloping topline. Tail set and carriage correct. Moderate turn of stifle, well let down hocks. Well muscled throughout. Head is broad and masculine but not course. Moved with purpose displaying power and drive from behind. Best Overall Rescue Stakes
2nd – Nevinson, Mrs A – Ch Chayo Golden Ticket Shcm – veteran boy but such quality. Well balanced dog. Great headpiece, strong neck leading into a sloping topline. Straight powerful front, vertical when viewed from front. Good for bone but not overdone. Moved with purpose and powerful drive. Reserve Best Overall Rescue Stakes
3rd – Palasinska, Miss M E – Anson Del Biagio (Imp Ita) – good overall shape, displaying power. Head broad and ears, eyes correct. Angulation good and moved well. Would prefer a darker eye.

Special Rescue Stakes Open Bitch (5, 1 abs)
1st – Mciver, Ms S A – Snowshoes Shimmering Star – best overall shape in this class. Height to length ratio correct. Head is broad but still feminine. Small, well furred and set ears. Moderately sloping shoulder, good vertical front with a strong, deep chest. Moved with purpose and drive.
2nd – Perfitt, Mrs S & Miss L – Samjoe’s The One and Only – good headpiece, feminine but not too fine. Strong body with adequate bone. Tail set high and carriage good. Would prefer more leg length to balance her out for me. Well muscled.
3rd – Butler, Mrs M – Paha Sapa Mais Blahnik Via Kaytoo (Imp Ita) – this girl left her entire coat at home except for her head! This did not detract from her quality though. Lovely head and moved well.
