I was honored to be invited to judge at the Alaskan Malamute Club of the United Kingdom annual championship show. I was gratified by both the size of the entry and the quality of the dogs. I was looking for dogs which exemplified the standard of the Breed and whose positive attributes were consistent with our Breed priorities. We want, of course, a dog that would be able to survive and to work in the primitive environment for which he was intended.

MPD. (12) These were all excellent quality puppies
1. Catua A Kind of Majyc This puppy had a nice coat, good head, good feet, and moved well. I would have liked a better tail.
2. Arctictrek Smok n Mirrors This puppy had a nice head, good tail, good coat, and moved well. I would have liked a tighter foot and more underjaw.
3. Icewolf A Touch of Frost This puppy had a nice head and coat. I would have liked a better front; he also needs to be more secure in the ring.

PD. (19,2) These were all excellent quality puppies.
l. Polarpaws Pari Mi Gucci He had a nice head, moved well and had a good coat. I would have liked a looser tail.
2. Catua Bohemian Rhapsody This puppy moved well and had a good coat. I would have liked a darker eye and looser tail.
3. Sledog Forest Mist This dog moved well, had a good head, good dark eye,good coat, and moved well. I would have liked him more up on pastern and a looser tail.

1. Mayook Del Biagio This is a lovely dog: he moved well, had a beautiful blocky head, good bone, coat, and tail. He moves quite well, has a good dark eye and excellent feet.
2. Crystalcreeks Snow Storm He had a nice head, moved well and had a good coat. I would have liked bigger feet and a looser tail.
3. Shepardsway Black Label of Casiat He had a nice head, and moved well. I would have liked a looser tail.

1. Mayook Del Biagio I had critiqued this young dog in the last class which he also won. I feel that he is very promising. Res CC
2. Vvanila Snowman Del Biagio at Wintadreama This dog had a very nice head and eye, a good tail, and moved well. I would have liked him a little straighter in the front.
3. Akaila’s Wolfraven Tak So This dog had a good head, eye, good pigment, coat, and moved well. I would have liked him to be a little straighter in front, and have a bigger foot.

1. Arctictrek’s Me and My Shadow This dog had a nice head and eye. He moved well. I would have liked a bigger, tighter foot and a looser tail.
2. Shepherdsway Red Diesel He had a nice coat and a good head. I would have liked a straighter front, bigger foot, and looser tail.
3. Hawkam Latest Edition This dog had a nice tight foot. I would have liked a higher earset, dark almond shaped eye, and better movement.

1. Icetrekker LaGavullin This dog had a nice head, eye, good pigment, good bone and coat. He also had a good tight foot, but I would have liked it to be a little larger. I would have liked a looser tail as well.
2. Lory’s Pride Celtic Chief of Celticwolf This dog had good bone, nice head and eye. He also had a nice coat and good tail carriage. I would have liked a larger foot.
3. Hawkams Limited Edition This dog had a nice head, moved well and had a good coat. I would have liked his eyes a little further a part and a looser tail.

1. Shepherdsway Emporer This is a very nice dog. He has a good head, feet, pigment, tail, and he moves well. CC
2. Zeelukzak Dark Dream for Icetrekker This dog had a good head, eye, moved well, and he had a good coat. I would have liked him to have less slope of pastern and a looser tail.
3. Snowolf Long Island T This dog had a good head, moved well, he was well balanced. I would have liked more underjaw and a larger foot.

1. Tango del Lago Degli Orsi at Snowshoes This was a very nice dog. He moved well, had good bone, a nice head and was well balanced. I would have liked bigger feet.
2. Shepherdsway Gatekeeper This was a very attractive dog. He had a good head, expression, eye, good bone and feet. He moved well, but he could have behaved better.
3. Cristakell Jump N Jak Frost This dog had good bone, excellent tight foot, nice eye, ears, coat, and moved well. I would have liked a looser tail.

1. Shepherdsway Black Warrior at Polarrun This was a nice dog with a correct head, and good coat, feet and tail. He moved well. His eyes were a bit too close together.
2. Snowolf Pakawalup This dog had excellent arch of neck and a nice head. Hel also moved well and had a good coat. I would have liked tighter feet.
3. Kaytoo Winter Mischeif for Napamute SH CM -This was a nice well balanced dog with a good coat. I would have liked a darker eye and a tighter foot.

1. Chayo Steel the Limelight This was a lovely puppy. She has nice feet, moved well, had a nice head and tail carriage
2. Icewolf a Touch of Class for Austmans This puppy bitch had a good coat, moved well, had good bone, and good shoulder layback.
3. Hyteton Relu Rehab This bitch had a good coat, moved well, and had many positive attributes. She was a little long in the loin.

1. Chayo Chasing Dreams This was a lovely puppy. She had good bone, feet, coat, tail, and moved well. I would have liked her ears to be a little smaller, but she is a very nice bitch.BPIS
2. Polarpaws Flamenco She had a nice head, good coat, good pigment, and moved well. I would have liked a rounder foot and looser tail.
3. Catua Stone Cold Crazy at Arrigetch This puppy had good pigment, feet, bone, and moved well. I would have liked more of an almond shaped eye. Also her coat is a bit long.

1. Crystalcreek’s Snow Queen This was a very nice bitch. She had a lovely head, a dark eye, nice coat, and moved well. She also had excellent bone. I would have liked a looser tail.
2. Dreamwolves Mystic Vision at Snowshoes This was a very pretty bitch She had a lovely head and moved well. I would have liked her to have lost some weight. These dogs should be conditioned like athletes.
3. Nowitna Ataaga Tabbaq Von Catua This was a pretty bitch who had good feet, bone, nice dark eye and moved well.

1. Snowshoes Lady Eska This was a well balanced bitch with a good coat, pretty head and expression, good bone, and she moved well. She was also very animated.
2. Koromandel Glamorous Indie This bitch was well balanced and had a pretty head. She also had good bone and coat; she moved well. I would have liked to have seen a more obliquely set almond shaped eye and less slope of pastern.
3. Koromandel Somebody Told Me This bitch had good pigment, good bone, and moved well. I would have liked a more almond shaped eye and less coat.

1. Chayo Snowflake of Monikoona This was a very pretty well balanced bitch. She had a nice head, bone, feet, and coat. I would have liked a looser tail; also she moves a bit wide in front.
2. Stalbridge Summertime in Skidooshooz This bitch had good pigment, a nice head, good bone, nice tight foot, good coat, and moved well. I would have liked her to be in better condition.
3. Arctictrek Myla Kool as Ice at Kernowerghki This bitch had good bone, beautiful dark eye, pretty head, and moved well. I would have liked a looser tail.

1. Cinneli Trek de Eleanor This was an over-all nice bitch. She had a good head, good pigment, good bone, and she moved very well. I would have liked to have seen a tighter foot. She was out of coat at the time.
2. Scotia Firs A Star is Born This was a very pretty bitch wth nice feet, good head, and moved well. I would have liked to have seen a looser tail.
3. Chayo Northern Quest This bitch had nice bone, good feet, and a pretty head. She moved well and had a nice coat. I would have liked a smaller ear and more bend of stifle in the rear.

1. PolarPaws Live-N-Hope at Sutarka This was a very pretty and moderate bitch. She had a nice coat, good tail, good pigment, good feet, and moved well. CC and BIS
2. Artic Breeze Lady Imocara She had nice feet, pretty head, good topline, and moved well. I would have liked the tail to be a little looser.
3. PolarPaws Naknek Dreamer This was a nice sound bitch. She had good bone and moved well. I would have liked a little darker eye.

1. Gorkeane de Jungla Negra (imp) She was well balanced, had good bone, feet, pigment, good coat, good tail, and moved well. This was a very nice bitch.
2. US CH Nanuke’s Patience is a Virtue This was a very nice bitch with good bone, good coat, nice bone, and she moved well.
3. Midnite Snowflame at Malmagic This bitch had a pretty head, good coat, dark eye, moved well especially from the side. I would have liked a bigger and tighter foot.

1. Shepherdsway Regal Queen of Casiat This bitch was in very good condition for her age. She had a nice head, good topline, good feet, and moved well. Res CC
2. Kaytoo Winter Ascent She had a very good topline, nice dark eye, and moved well. I would have liked a bigger foot.
