I would like to extend my gratitude to both the committee and exhibitors for making this appointment a very enjoyable one. Having never visited this venue before I now appreciate it for its friendly welcoming atmosphere and beautiful setting. The sun was kind to us humans and given the heat I felt all the dogs coped remarkably well, a testimony to their fitness and conditioning; well done all for presenting your dogs in such good shape.
Having not judged for two years or being around the show circuit it was pleasing to see how the breed and quality has improved. I have previously commented on my concern about level bites creeping in and I am pleased to see, albeit 1 or 2, there has been a massive improvement here. Temperaments on all dogs were impeccable and whilst some decided the weather warranted leaving their jackets at home all were in excellent physical condition.
I was thrilled with both my winning line ups and all pushed for top honours. I am equally as pleased to see my BOB be awarded WG4 I’m sure this will not be her first and last group placing.

Puppy Dog (2,0a)
1) Ellis – Chayo Time After Time
7 months old, a youngster who was clearly enjoying his day, very nice proportions with a good outline. Lovely male head not too overdone for his age, scissor bite, dark eye, sufficient stop and strong muzzle. Good length of neck, nice shoulder placement and sloping topline. Straight front, short pasterns and neat feet. Good tailset and carriage. Plenty of drive on the go with good side action.
2) Raby – Yuayua at Icemoon (IMP Swe)
Promising youngster slighter shorter in body. Good spring of rib, Well off for bone with strong fore and hindquarters. Nice thick harsh coat with well furred tail. Pleasing head, dark eye, good bite. When settled moved well.

Post Grad Dog (5,0a)
1) Page and Jarvis – Cedarcreek Frozen Asset
Attractive male with appealing head, dark eye, well furred thick ears, strong muzzle, coat harsh, good length of rib, sloping topline held well on the go round, well muscled rear allowing for great driving action. Ticked lots of boxes all round, beautifully presented and pleased to award him the Reserve CC.
2) Jelfs – Lapema Garoto Rude JW
Such a happy young lad, slightly out of coat but lots to like about him. Super handsome head with neat ears, dark eye, ample stop, strong muzzle. Strong topline with nice tailset and carriage, tight feet, well angulated front and rear, moved with enthusiasm and purpose.

Limit Dog (3,1a)
1) Page and Sheehan – Cedarcreek Frozen River
Another super dog from the same kennel as my post grad winner, needless to say very similar to him, slighter larger and longer but in great condition and presentation. great jacket, good length of leg, shoulder placement as it should be, attractive head and pleasing outline, well off for bone. Moved well, lovely side action.
2) Butler – Kaytoo Antarctic Kuma
Different type to one but still a nice example of the breed. Appealing head set, body well muscled in hard condition, neat feet and front, well balanced overall, easy mover holding topline well on the go.

Open Dog (4,1a)
1)Ellis – Chayo Formula One
A dog which shouts malamute at you. He excelled in type and substance, well off for bone, deep chest, strong front with tight neat feet, super outline with sloping topline. Head had broad skull, well set ears and dark eye complimented by soft expression. Tailset correct, well muscled hindquarters enabling him to move with drive and purpose. Not in full coat but that could nt deny him his DCC.
2) Horsman and Horsman-Phoenix – Nordicwinds American Idol JW ShCM
Impressive male who gave my class winner a run for his money. Nicely balanced with good proportions all round. Strong well arched neck with sloping topline. Handsome head. Slightly straighter rear than No 1 but moved well nevertheless.

Puppy Bitch (3,0a)
1) Dobson and Wolfe – Sutarka La Dolle Vita
Super feminine young girl. Lacking full coat which showed off her lovely proportions. Beautifully balanced for such a youngster, had the sweetest and happiest of natures. Pretty head with lovely dark eye, scissor bite, well set ears and ample stop. Great tail set and carriage, nice angles front and rear, when settled moved with ease. My take home dog. BPB and BP
2) Ellis – Chayo One Moment in Time
Very similar to 1 in shape and size. Well constructed with pretty feminine head, well arched neck into good lay of shoulders, good length in body, strong front with short pasterns good feet, rear assembly well toned. Easy mover, true on the down and back coupled with good side action.

Lot to like about this girl. In hard well toned condition, attractive feminine head, strong muzzle with good bite, nice eye and ear placement, good front and rear angles and assembly with sloping topline, deep chest and good spring of rib. Good tailset and carriage. Super to watch on the move made it look effortless.
2) Dick – Chayo Northern Breeze
Another nice example of the breed, good proportions, feminine head with soft expression, ears well set, almond shaped eyes, ample muzzle and good bite. Deep chest well sprung ribs, gentle slope to topline with good tailset. Strong rear quarters, just felt she was a little heavy loaded on her front which affected her movement on the day.

1) Jelfs – Lapema Nino Vudu
Very pretty young girl, in super coat, well off for bone, strong front and rear assembly, lovely body shape and outline, good depth of chest, ribs well sprung, head feminine yet strong, great tail and carriage, moved out well.
2) Finan – Marahootay Optical Illusion
No illusion here, well put together girl, in hard condition, kind expressive head, strong muzzle, dark almond eye, ears well set on broad skull, arched neck leading into sloping topline, thick coat, moved with ease.

Open Bitch (4,2a)
1) Ellis – Chayo Blue Diamond (AI)
Super eyecatching young girl, beautifully balanced with lovely proportions throughout. Pretty expression, dark eye, scissor bite, muzzle is strong and not overdone, well furred thick ears, good arched strong neck sitting on good shoulder placement and topline sloping slightly to strong loins. Great tail. Excellent front and rear assembly, coat thick, harsh and standing off the body. Well off for muscle. Moved with style and ease. Loved her side gait such reach and drive. Could not have asked for any more from her and so deserving of her BCC and BOB.
2) Page – Cedarcreek Exquisite
Certainly lives up to her name, very attractive bitch presented in beautiful coat and condition. Good proportions overall, sound strong body with nice outline, good front and deep chest, well sprung ribs. Feminine head with ears well set, slight stop and ample length in muzzle. On the go round she moved out with great purpose.

Veteran Bitch (2, 0a)
1) Blaney – Windberg Paparazzi to Fenrirkin
What a little power pack this girl is. In great physical shape, showed her little paws off, effortless on the move and looked like she could go all day. Has a typically malamute shape and outline with lovely head , well arched neck and correct topline and tail. Good angles front and rear, short straight pasterns, tight feet, well muscled hindquarters. So pleased to award her the RCC very well deserved.
2) Butler – Arcticdawns Free and Easy at Kaytoo
10 years old and seemingly feeling the heat today as not quite on point. Very pretty girl lovely dark eye, pleasing to go over sound from top to tail, in good coat and condition, nice straight front with sufficient depth of chest and length in body, well angulated rear, with strong hocks. Good side movement carrying tail well on the go round.
